Edit #3: I didn't see the existing thread...Mods, can still delete.

Was nice to watch on TV, I'm assuming they'll show during the 11pm SportsCenter and probably the SportsCenter's in the morning.

Scroll down for the embed, wasn't working in te OP. Sorry for "autoplay," but it is worth it if you haven't seen it.

Thank you to all the Michigan Men and the AD for making this happen.  This is what's special about Michigan.  It sounds like Steven will make it through.  Thoughts and prayers...

Or have a horde show up in South Bend with shirts depicting this image and change out the soon to be Legends Patch #16 for #57 and maybe have the nameplate with Cancer?

... when he tried on the jersey and was ready to cheer him on when they got to run out through the tunnel and touch the banner.

I don't know how much of a hassle it was to do this but the way he and his dad lit up hopefully made it all worthwhile.  Well done.

PS.  Mr. Gardner, I like your attitude, and I know you didn't do it for the praise.  It's still worth noting and praising - good deeds always are.

The only thing missing from that video was for Stephen to toss in a "beat Ohio".

While it's sad that he had to give up playing football, I hope that he gets to have a long and happy life to pursue new dreams....and catch many Michigan football victories in the future.

I don't know it is because work is kicking my ass right now or I've lost all touch with humanity... but I am normally a total sap for things like this and this one didn't give me the goosebumps or throw dust in my eyes or anything like that.

Chances that an 18-year old rabid Michigan fan is a member of this online community?  >90%

You deserved that day, and hopefully we'll all enjoy a championship season sooner than later. We all know that was your REAL wish.  Best wishes to you in the future, Stephen. Go Blue.

happened during the day including a call from Mark Harmon.

Then Gardner handed Stephen his phone. On the line was actor Mark Harmon, the star of one of Stephen's favorite TV shows, "NCIS." "Mark is a Michigan man by birth and well-known on campus, so Devin, who had his number, did me a favor and called him," Stephen said. "And sure enough I had a phone conversation with Mark Harmon while standing in Schembechler Hall. "Up until that point I had managed to collect myself. I was back to shaking in my boots, not knowing what to do with the energy." (A few days later, one of the NCIS hats that Harmon wears during the show arrived at Stephen's house.)

The other thing mentioned is that Stephen hopes to transfer to Michigan from the community college he will initially be attending.

Stephen hopes to return to Ann Arbor as a transfer from Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City. He graduated from high school last month and is hoping to hear soon that he has been given a clean bill of health.

Mods: Please don't delete this thread. Even if it is duplicative, this is the sort of thing that's worthy of multiple threads. It's moments like these (see also: Brock Mealer) that make me truly proud to be a Wolverine.

I wonder how these guys do it. As bad ass as it would be to play football at U of M I don't know if I could do things like this as a player. I don't get emotional about a lot of things, but doing things like this and visiting the children at Mott would just do a number on me.

Pretty emotional, all that he and his parents went though,. The tears of happiness on his parents faces was when they seen how happy he was just kinda grabs you.
