ESPN magazine deal
I know many here got an ESPN magazine deal to read TomVH's work on Wolverine Nation. Mine recently expired and I have since been looking for another deal to renew my subscription as I didn't think it was worth the regular $2.50 a month. I found it today for $3.99 a year with the option of a 1- 4 year subscription.
Here's where you can buy it: http://www.discountmags.com/product/4627/espn
And the discount code is DEALNEWS.
These deals often only last a day so act fast if you want it.

Companies still print things? How adorable.

ESPN hard copy, I just throw it in the recycling bin as soon as it arrives. I just read the forums and an occasional insider article.

You can have your magazine sent to our troops. I'm not exactly sure how it works so that you can still get your code for insider, but I think you just have to call ESPN Magazine and they'll handle just about everything.

Does it come with Insider?

Also people are often skeptical about the magazines actually showing up. I got mine. Just takes about two months.

For those that have ESPN and are looking to resubscribe, go to espn.com/thanks and you'll get another full year for just $1. I did it a couple months ago but I believe it still exists.

...you just saved me $2.99.

So, I did a mag deal similar to this well over a year ago just to get Insider. I never renewed, but I still get magazines, which comes as no surprise. However, I am surprised that I still have Insider access, despite never renewing anything (I paid $3.99 one time over a year ago). So what I am saying is, don't buy the multi-year, as one year seems to get you magazines and Insider forever.

Oh well, it's only an extra $4.

You ever check your card statement to make sure you're not getting charged every month?
November 13th, 2012 at 2:42 PM ^
I have. And I didn't pay ESPN directly. I bought it through Tanga.com, which I then redeemed through ESPN. It is always worth checking though.

You got lucky my friend. Mine just expired, and I actually lost insider one week before my year subscription ended.
To be safe I renewed with the multi-yea deal; the magazine is ish, but I have no problem paying $4 for a years worth of TVH info.

I hope you would consider hitting up the Beveled Guilt button here for at least that much.

Upon review, it wasn't much more than a year ago, but definitely longer than a year. Maybe it will be running out soon, but I haven't received any notice as of yet. Concerning the magazine, I assume I will receive those until the day I die.

Thanks for the info! A discount off my discount of $7.95 that i paid last year!

... ESPN Insider? Do I need to wait 6-8 weeks to recieve the first actual issue?
Also, thanks for the head's up.
November 13th, 2012 at 2:48 PM ^
You can call up and have them activate your insider subscription before you get your first issue but I think you have to wait a few days for ESPN to get the info from the deal site.

Hate to be that guy, but I just signed up for this offer... how and when can I hook up my Insider to WN?
EDIT: And I'm second fiddle that guy to Clavin

I have been trying to get ESPN to stop sending me this "magazine." Anymore it is just a book of ads with the occasional article stuck in it.
November 13th, 2012 at 2:40 PM ^
I have been getting the magazine for about a year now. There are too many ads, but there are some readable articles. I mainly signed up for the online access and the TomVH articles. I always seek his confirmation on recruiting information.

Thanks for the heads up. Paying with Paypal is sweet because I have a decent amount of funds in there and I'd rather use that than a credit card.

The last time I tried ordering through an online discount magazine company (can't remember which one) it did not work out so well. I waited 2 months and nothing came, I contacted the company via email and got no response. There was no phone number for them.
Hope this works out better, 4 years for $15.96 is way too cheap!
