ESPN highlights and Ufer shoutout

Submitted by philibuster on

Anybody else catch the ESPN highlights of the Notre Dame game where the commentator says "Meeeeechigan, honk honk honk!" as a shoutout to Bob Ufer? I can't find the video, since they haven't put up game highlights on their site yet, but I thought it was a fitting tribute.

Saw that too. Reece Davis is a pretty goodt college football historian. He was all over that.

Right now, Ufer is god blessing Denard's cotton pickin' maize and blue heart

Rece Davis used to be he sports anchor for the ABC affiliate in Flint/Saginaw from 1993-1995. He knows all about Michigan/MSU and Detroit sports. I remember him reciting "The Victors" during the ESPN highlight reel of Michigan-Wisconsin 2008...

Is it just me or are Michigan Alumni EVERYWHERE and not afraid to show their pride!

Denard the Legend bringing back that Michigan Wolverine Solidarity!

It's a damn shame though, that much of the Michigan Wolverine Solidarity hasn't been present during the roughest period of Michigan Football in the last 40 years - the last two years, namely.

FWIW, I never jumped off the M bandwagon and continued to wear my colors with PRIDE, even in the off years. Yes, it sucked to lose - but by God, this is Michigan and win or lose, this is my team.

Just hope that when this thing is completely turned around (beating ohio state, winning big ten championships, rose bowls, heisman trophies, NCAA "violations" an afterthought, no coach in the "hotseat", you get the point) and Michigan is Michigan again everyone can once again be on the same page. If the pro & anti whatever people can't agree on anything even after there is nothing to be pro or anti about, it would be realllllyyy annoying.
