Can't say because they saw Wisconsin already...because they had UT in the Bristol game.

I thought maybe because there was a shot they'd go to Wisconsin/Michigan NEXT week and they wouldn't want to do Wisconsin 2 weeks in a row and 3 times this early in the year.

HOWEVER, with Louisville going to Death Valley for a night game, that one is obvious...so obvious that they've already confirmed it. (I'll be there)

The only thing I can think to explain it is...DISRESPEKT

They usually decide the Saturday night/Sunday morning in the week before.

However, this past week it went all the way to Monday before it was announced. And because Clemson/L'ville will be a top 5 matchup, they've actually already announced they're going to Clemson next week.

One other thought:

Herby lives in Tennessee...maybe they did this game because it's close to home for him knowing that Gameday wouldn't be a game he could call. The 2 games in question are BTN and CBS.

Knowing that, maybe the producers took this game so he didn't have to fly to EL then fly out to LA after the show.

Because they knew my buddies and I would be at this game today.

Six of us from Carolina grad school got together this weekend, haven't all gotten together in over three years as one guy just spent three years on an ex-pat assignment in Singapore with J&J with his wife and two little boys. He just moved back, so we have one in Chicago, Florida, Baltimore, two in NJ, and I'm in LA. We all look forward to seeing a game at Neyland.

It's sort of an odd coincidence that I'm going to my second college gameday game this year, went to lsu v Wisconsin game a few weeks ago.

Headed back to AA next weekend for the Wisconsin game.

Go Blue.

Is anyone surprised that Gameday ever goes to games that aren't on EsSPN? I believe they should, but it just seems that in the competitive TV market of 2016 (with cable having a bleak future), ESPN would only want to publicize its own games.

I really hate the music they use for the GameDay intro. Not the song the band sings - I'm talking about the music that comes after the band's performance. The music from a few years ago is so much better.

They may just be betting that there's a good opportunity to be in East Lansing for M or OSU. Great slate of games today, and no doubt Wiscy/Sparty is one to watch

Art Briles?

In all seriousness, the more Louisville wins...the more I think ADs think "if I can manage the shitstorm for year 1 and then we win? I could hit a lifetime homerun."

Someone is going to take a chance on him. I just don't seriously think it'll be Arizona, Greg Byrne might be the best AD in the entire country.

However, something that could throw a wrench in that assumption is UF wants Arizona's AD...BAD.

It's looking like they're going to get the Miss St. AD after bring turned down at least once by Byrne at Arizona and Cunningham at UNC.

Their problem is they don't want the new AD to shake up the staff or coaching staffs at UF, they just want to fill Foley's old position and keep rolling. Top ADs aren't going to sign up for that, even if it's UF.

Actually been an interesting search thus far...
