Submitted by meechiganroses on

Just received a tweet from CFB Rumor Central concerning Michigan making a call to a certain Ohio RB.  ANy insight

In the Insider edition, they cite the blog saying that Michigan has four spots open, and that MGoBlog also said that

"Ohio State soft commit Bri'onte Dunn seems to be the main option at this position (unless the staff thinks they can try to get in with another super like NC RB Keith Marshall). As the situation unfolds, we'll see if Dunn is a realistic possibility, and if the coaches focus on other runners if he's off the table."

Basically they added no knowledge themselves. Disappointing.

I'm paying $4 for a year of Insider, and I almost still feel cheated. Basically, all of their 'rumor central' and 'insider' stuff is a guy who sits on google and reads blogs all day, then copies and pastes and slaps a paywall on it. Most everything on there can be found for free, and most of their 'experts' routinely contradict each other.

Everything is out there for free right now, anyway.  Nobody covers Michigan better than mgoblog, and there is usually a site that provides great coverage for every major school.  ESPN, CBS, SI, and even Rivals give enough free info that it isn't worth it to most fans to pay for their premium services.

Since you can copyright an article but not the info itself, I don't see this changing soon.  Also, as long as the free blogs and MSM outlets still profit on the advertising, they have no reason to start charging.

The moral of the story: ride for free and use advertising links from sites like this one to help them out.  If you are going to buy something, it might as well be through the link of a media outlet you like.  You get what you were going to get anyway, and the outlet gets a little bit of help.  In other words, everybody wins.

I got a tweet from CFBRumorCentral today saying that Michigan was dipping into OSU's pool? I think that's a dumb idea seeing that it's and outdoor pool and it's not nice at all out in Corvallis, OR right now?

Dude, I live in Eugene and go to school in Corvallis.

And if mid-80s and sun every day is not nice whether, I don't know what is. I grew up in the midwest and am so happy to be out here where 100 degrees is only a myth.

The weather here is PERFECT right now IMO.

Call him, they probably spend 60 minutes calling him every week. Rumor is when they offered the scholarship Dunn said, "my dog doesn't think I should sign."
