ESPN asks "Michigan helmet or Notre Dame helmet?"
ESPN plays 20 questions with the 2010 college football landscape, pairing coaches, players, teams and the like and asking "Who would you rather be?" in each case.
Item number 18 on the list asks the age-old question about headgear and answers it perfectly:
Q: "Michigan helmet or Notre Dame helmet?"
A: "The Wolverines helmet is iconic."

Rich Rodriguez or NAME REDACTED and somehow choose NAME REDACTED because of the "specter of two NCAA investigations".
And also, why not make these actual poll questions the reader can vote on?
Finally, ND helmet pretty much = Navy helmet. Only real difference is the facemask color.

I thought the same exact thing -- ESPN should have included a poll feature. And I agree, there is nothing wrong with ND's helmet. It is one of the better ones in college football. But ours is still the best.

With or without wings?
August 17th, 2010 at 8:46 AM ^
... until it has earned its wings.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:41 AM ^
That's a no brainer... The Domers have nothing special about their helmet other than it sparkles. But our helmets have wings.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:43 AM ^
Most of them, anyway.

Plus some of our helmets now come equipped with dreads.....wings plus dreads = awesome.

"...our helmets got wings?"
August 17th, 2010 at 3:17 PM ^
I'm surprised how many people assume RR was using bad grammar there. I've always assumed he said "Our helmet's got wings." He is pointing to one set of wings, not a whole bunch.

Kind of an easy choice there, that like asking if you would rather a kick in the nuts or a hand job

On who is administering each, no?

I was bored a few weeks ago and was flipping through the channels and there she was ruining a perfectly boring softball game. It sent chills through my spine and I had to go outside as far from my TV as possible. Why can't she be on the hot seat?

Does Andrea Adelson have anything more than a passing knowledge of college football?
It appears not.
August 17th, 2010 at 9:24 AM ^
That was one of the worst articles I have read in a long time. I really gained nothing from it except Andrea has learned all the hot botton topics in college football and has little knowledge to back up one answer.

"12. Jim Delany or Mike Slive? Even though Delany has tried to make his move on the SEC, Slive and his league still rule."
Huh? Yeah, ok, I know, the SEC has won more than their fair share of championships lately but seriously? If Jim Delany was head of the SEC I'd hate to be anyone else. People think the SEC is far and away the best conference in the history of world (paraphasing) and yet despite just inking a brand new contract the Big Ten pulls in more with fewer teams, I think that speaks for itself. Well, that and we have our own network that's carried nationally and for free (on DirecTV and UVerse anyway).

As if Slive has anythong to do with the competitiveness of some of the teams in the SEC. The only involvement Slive has in SEC teams winning the National Championship is in making sure that his officiating crew do everything in their power to make sure Florida and/or Alabama (and sometimes LSU) win.
August 17th, 2010 at 9:22 AM ^
They just want to make sure the higher ranked team always wins! I mean, if they didn't do that they'd be stuck sending 2 teams to non-championship BCS games every year - oh wait, that sounds familiar... ;)
August 17th, 2010 at 9:32 AM ^
ESPN televises SEC games so, yes, they are the best conference in the history of the world.

Comparing Michigan's helmet (which has a design) to Notre Dame's makes no sense. UM vs. Texas would work.
Did anyone else notice that the Ron English remark on single moms has gone nationwide? That's the first time I've seen it mentioned on that site, anyway.

Best helmet in football, nobody can say another helmet looks more iconic than ours.
August 17th, 2010 at 11:19 AM ^
the appeal of a golden dome.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:08 PM ^
This isn't even close. Michigan's helmet is far and away the better helmet.
