Espn article on Troy Woolfolk
You can never have too much confidence
I SAID "M" AS IN MANCY...
...at CB. Woolfolk's showing the right attitude. We shouldn't discount how important these seemingly fluff articles are. Every interview sets a tone for future press coverage and it's good to see Woolfolk doing as well as he did in this one. It's also nice to see that the coaching staff has sufficient confidence in his maturity to allow him to be the subject of such an interview. That shows they see him as the leader of a very young secondary - which as a returning starter senior, he has to be.

"Our fans are pretty smart," he said. "They know we made big progress [from 2008 to 2009]. They're on board, even though they might not say it."
It's interesting to see the player's perspective of the fans. It's good to see how confident he is of the fan's loyalty, despite the negativity that keeps creeping up.
that stuck out to me too. I interpreted it more as a little bit of gentle chastisement on his part though. He's praising those that are sticking through and giving room for the doubters to return to the fold. I'd definitely agree that he's confident is us though, which is good also because it shows he's confident that they'll be enough better to say we're on board. I like the rest of that quote too:
"Our fans are pretty smart," he said. "They know we made big progress [from 2008 to 2009]. They're on board, even though they might not say it.
They will be able to back us up. And as for the players, I know for a fact we think we're going to be good."
a CB this season? that's just huge, imo. it means they feel like safety is set. thank you Cam Gordon.
...the Canadians make up for it with their emotion and classic ice-dancing skill.
Harold "Butch" Woolfolk tearing up Washington in the second half of the '81 Rose Bowl is arguably my favorite Schembechler moment... How cool would it be to play at Michigan, knowing your father helped win Bo his first Rose Bowl?

I once had to comfort Cap'n Crunch after he had been sailing for 7 years only to come home to his wife in bed with Count Chocula.
