Just posted on ESPN about an hour ago. Family values are mentioned. Enjoy.
ESPN Article -- Minor
I love it when our guys talk about the family values and everybody being all in. It is very reassuring to a fan that has been all in the whole time.
It's great to see a player like Minor be able to contribute in a big way (ND game) as well as play for a team that appears to be pretty good so far. He was one of the most outspoken players that bought into the "All in for Michigan" slogan a year before it became the team's motto and for his patience, perseverance and dedication to begin paying off right out of the gate rather than a year or two after he is gone is truly special to see. As long as he can stay healthy (just knocked on the wooden table I'm sitting at) for the rest of this season it could be a great senior year for him both individually and as a team.
P.S. I'm a long time reader and first time member of mgoblog who resides in Columbus so it is finally great to have a place to go to talk to people about something other than Ohio State football.
I guess he's waiting for a player to punch an opponent after a loss and then try to go into the stands. That's about all that hasn't happened in the last 12 months.
... I had to check the date of the article to make sure it was post "Practice-gate". Maybe he's become numb to it?
I literally had to double-check the date too.
I had to smile when I read that. Personally, I think it's a good sign that he doesn't see anything that's happened in the last year--or coming from behind against a favored Notre Dame--as "any obstacles."
I also think the change in attitude is very visible from the outside. I'm sure this team will lose a game this season, they're too inexperienced and thin in some areas not to, but it won't be because of lack of effort and I'm also sure that they'll be fighting tooth, fang, and claw until the clock runs out.
I think he was talking about not facing any obstacles on the field thus far. This made me laugh because he was essentially saying that ND was no obstacle which is funny. More to his point I think he was referring to things like major injuries and just generally being untested thus far since we are only two games into the season.
I love Minor and hope he stays healthy and has a huge year that helps get UM back to a decent bowl game this year.
But I love the attitude. It's the right outlook to have.
You are not alone in Columbus. Many in Central Ohio have seen the light and let go of the hate. :) My motto is "Buckeye by birth, Wolverine by the grace of God....Go Blue"
Good fluffy article. Its great to hear how the team has really come together and bonded as a single unit.
fluff fluff ... i love the winning but there's not much new there
I would just like to see Minor get more carries. Dude's a beast. Oh and I hope he stays healthy.
Great article. Thanks for the post.
He should see the ball no less than 20 - 25 times a game.. evident in the ND game... no way they are down by 3 at half if he saw the ball more. There was a time where they did not run a running back for a while.
It was a Major Article about MINOR RAGE!
Ye Hah! Go Blue!
