First of all, thanks for the link. It was an interesting article.

Secondly, thanks for the informative thread title.

Third, we offered a couple guys from there this past year - Mike Thornton and Tyrone Cornileus. Thornton and Cornileus mentioned interest in Michigan a few times, although neither one ever visited. So it looks like Rodriguez is trying to build a relationship with the coaches/players down there.

Love it. For all the negative stuff swirling around sports these days, it's easy to forget that for a lot of kids it provides the structure and discipline they need to better themselves and those around them. I'd bet this happens more than we think or hear about. Good for them.

I don't give a shit when I get negged, and I know Magnus doesn't care either, but the person who negged his comment here is being an asshole. There isn't anything remotely neggable in what he said.

Drop dead! I'm sorry to all who read what are now becoming compulsive Freep references. But it just blows my mind that a newspaper would deny opportunities to teenagers to turn themselves around. Especially one that preens about its liberalism yet finds any opportunity to impugn a coach who actually takes risks to walk the walk. Whatever.
