Equipment: Block M still on helmet nose bumper?

When the new road uniforms were unveiled via twitter by Chris Partidge, it featured of photo of De'Veon Smith sporting the winged helmet that once again had the "MICHIGAN" wordmark on the nose bumper.

 

Judging by the photo tweeted out by Erik Campbell of the team's locker room just recently, it appears they're still going to wear the helmets with the Block M on the nose bumper that was introduced last year.

 

If you enlarge the photo, you can also tell that Michigan will be wearing the Block M thighpads as well as they are in the lockers.

No, he's just brought back a dated shoe color. The apparell companies didn't make colored footwear back in the day like they do now. 

I swear some in this fanbase are stuck in the 70's, which is funny because if there was one person who continued to adapt to the times it was Bo Schembechler, look no further than how his offense evolved from 69 to 89.

Who the fuck cares...we'll know in 24 hours.

But they've been wearing the block M bumper on all fall. I don't think it's going anywhere and I don't think it's a big deal.

We play tomorrow, save this shit for a Monday morning or a BYE week. We're all too charged up as it is...I don't think anyone cares what we're wearing at this point. 

Why? Harbaugh. THAT'S WHY.

As long as this is apparently going to be a topic of discussion, I will say that I think the M looks better than trying to squeeze MICHIGAN on there. HOWEVA, this is almost literally the last thing I will notice/care about during live play, even including equipment-related things. They could probably leave that space blank and I wouldn't notice until someone pointed it out.

I don't give a shit about minor things like block M vs Michigan on the bumper. honestly when I watch the games I don't think "for fucks sake they changed the block M". I never pay any attention because I'm watching footballl not a fashion show.

We are all too caught up in "TRADITION"! Tradition doesn't mean that every thing must stay stagnant with no change. A lot of this stuff is minor. But u have to remember there is also a marketing strategy to all of this as well. I heard one guy say it's going to look stupid with Air Jordan on he jerseys next year. I told him you know what's worse....mediocrity!

I know I'm late on this, but I do hope they keep the Block M on the bumper. From a design perspective it fits much better in that space than the full "Michigan" wordmark. That being said, both look fine. Let's play football.
