we could sit here and nitpick all day pointing out things that would have changed the complexion of the game if they had gone our way.  More than anything I was happy to see us fighting after we got way down.  It really sucks to lose, but after we crumpled last week, it was nice to see that we still had some fight in us.  Go Blue!

Oh. I was sure you were going to make a comment about his being one of the most dependable tacklers on the team.

The multiple penalties are what are sticking out in my mind right now, specifically the drive-killers on offense, not one potential interception.

Yeah, he's way to slow to return anything back for a pick-6. But I applauded his effort, and I was hoping after that play to see more Stanzi-ball, where he likes to throw it to the other team more than his own.

the smartest players I have ever seen. He made some huge plays and it seems he never misses tackles.

Also, if he catches that ball he's gone. No question. The only person that was close was that receiver and he would have had 10 yards on him by the time he got turned around. That play may have been the difference. It really would have changed the complection of the game.

It is sad and awesome, all at the same time, that a former walkon is probably our best defensive player at this point.

Kudos to Kovacs for all the hard work he's put in to get to where he is today.

I would move Kovacs to OLB with Demens at MLB and JM at the other OLB.   Put four on the d-line with Roh and RVB at the d-ends.  Then I would move JTF to saftey with Gordon and put Avery at CB along with Rogers.

I'm ready for anything that would hold a Big 10 opponent under thirty points a game.  Your scheme is as reasonable as any I've seen GERG throw out there.  This 3-3-5 lineup was ridiculed before the season even started and now I see why.  I also wouldn't mind having Will Campbell play as part of a four man front.

He made some very sure, solid tackles. I still can't get over the fact that the dude walked on. As for the potential pick, from my angle it looked like he wasn't even trying to make the interception. It seemed like he just batted the ball down to break up the play.

It seemed like he was all over today.  As bad as things were, he made me smile every time he made a play.

Do the coaches get any credit for his development as a player?  Or are they only responsible when underclassmen make mistakes?
