We knew this was coming today, it sucks but nothing more could be expected of this team against a clearly superior OSU. We did have the right to expect a slightly better season, around the 6-6 or 7-5 that most of us predicted pre-season, but we are what our record says we are, as Bill Parcells says. With a couple of breaks we could have achieved it, but by the same token we got a break and played great against a pretty good ND team and won. This will be the winter of our discontent, complete with a gnawing uncertainty over the future of the program, worries about recruiting, fighting off Fire RR columns and dipshit fans, all while clinging to what our rational minds know: that our talent base was less than we ever imagined, and that this is tougher than most of us ever thought. We have an immature team, a coaching staff struggling for answers, and a restless fan base. But we are also Michigan, and we can overcome. Cling to that, and remember it during the long winter coming. If that isn't exactly a comfort, that is the definition of resolute determination-the odds appear stacked, but we have no choice but to stay with it and prevail. Good things can come, if we stay with it and remember that. Ultimately, we have no choice.

We had no right? 21 starters and a slew of fine backups on O and D played POSSESSED and we had no right? the 22nd starter, Forcier, gave up a TD and threw FOUR picks, 2 in the redzone. Ohio State was not "clearly superior" in any fucking way. That's a disservice to Brandon Graham, Stevie Brown, Jonas Mouton, Jordan Kovacs, EVERYONE. Except, of course, to Forcier.

Not to mention failing at reading comprehension, since I never said we had no right to expect a victory. Recognizing the superiority of another team is no commentary on our guys that played their hearts out you boob. I't s salute to them and a defense of them to say so.

we played more than well enough to win. the defense was great though admittedly not tested a ton through the air. who thought before today that this defense would only allow 14 points. 14! brandon graham is incredible and it doesn't seem right for him to go out like that. he single-handedly turned that 1st and goal from the 2 from a sure touchdown into a lucky RPS score from the 12 or 13. tate, despite turning the ball over 5 times, still made a ton of great throws but geez... at least 3 or 4 of those turnovers were absolute backbreakers

had we scored again, i'm sure tressel would have gone a little more aggressive. i think that ohio state's score is indicative of the fact that we never really threatened. that said, i think that anyone who thinks that there has been no progression from last year to this year need only look at our performance in this game to see that we have come quite a ways.
