End of game bomb celebration

Submitted by michWolves2580 on

Im sure many of you saw it if you were at the stadium, but if you werent and didnt watch the pressers, at the end of the game Denard took a knee and the team rushed the field. He then threw the ball high in the air and when it hit the ground everyone fell to the ground. I thought it was pretty awesome.

Does anyone have video of this??? I've been looking everywhere for one.

Some OSU players found it disrespectful. I could see maybe if it happened on OSU's field, but being on M's field,  I'm with you and thought it was great.

Yea i thought it was pretty funny and you cant blame these kids for having fun getting a LARGE weight off their backs.  I ease myself thinking about what the crowd would have been like had we lost in Ohio to a 6-5 OSU team after this great season for us entering 9-2. It would have been ugly so let the kids (18-22 year olds) have some fun.

and thought it was pretty awesome too. they were asked about it at the post-game presser (i think Van Bergen answered, but someone correct me if i'm wrong) and they said it's something they've done in practice before

@ZBoren44:  I lost so much respect for michigan after they won n threw the ball in the air acting like it was a grenade. This is a great rivalry and to

@ZBoren44:  Take it to that level of disrespect is just so uncalled for. Act like you have won before n treat this rivalry like it should be treated.

My response:  You're going to have a great career plowing snow.

who cares what they think...they are FAR from any form of respect-o-meter of ANY kind...how many times did zach boring have to shoulder or bump someone heading off the field? or he's just really fat, awkward, and clumsy...how many times have ohio players been nailed as repeat offenders on NCAA violations thus disrespecting/disreggarding NCAA rules....ad nasueum...BEATEN OHIO...GO BLUE..awesome TEAM celebration...beat us and it never happens...stick that in your respect-o-meter...

Said in the presser afterwards they do that at the end of every practice ,and once more after the game for the seniors. It's not all about you Mr. vain disgruntled buckeye.

I have been trying to find it too - I thought it was bad ass and want to see it again.  Screw the bucknuts.  Them calling us out is comical. Keep crying, I love it!

Zack Boren has lost all respect for Michigan?  Jesus, that's ripe.

"Excuse me Mr. Boren, but you've obviously mistaken me for someone who gives a shit about what you think"

I stopped caring what these asshats have to say when Woody was still coaching Mismi. So lying, cheating, tearing down banners, and punching guys in the throat are good things?!?!

Oh, I don't give a damn about the whole state of Ohio, the whole state of Ohiio.....

Honestly, what I noticed is that none of the UM players shook hands with Ohio after the victory.  Ohio kind of milled around on the field like usual, but the team did their celebration and ran over to the student section.  I would have like it if they could have shook some haands first.

I always thought that was more of a basketball thing (and hockey, too).  Not saying that football players don't shake hands after the game, but the huge amount of people on each team and the large playing surface doesn't make it an easy thing to orchestrate.

Frankly, I can't remember off the top of my head if they ever really stand around and do a lot of hand shaking.  It's also entirely possible that I have a crappy memory.
