Mo Better Blues

The play that would make me a lifelong Michigan fan, starting at age 9. I guess I was generally aware of football to a much lesser extent before that game; had watched Bo's last Rose Bowl win with the old man while playing with my toys on the floor, but I was absolutely reborn with The Catch. That play instantly communicated everything I needed to see and hear to be fully convinced that football--Michigan football--had to become a way of life.

I agree.  Love the longer version.  I also chuckled considerably after seeing the guy in the pink shorts standing on the side of the end zone!  What a play!  I actually had my picture taken in Gattlinberg TN the next week at one of those photo shops that could take your face and super impose it on another picture.  I put my face on Elvis Grbac body.  He was in uniform throwing a pass.

I had very little interaction with him, but my impression was that Elvis was a very humble and down-to-earth guy.  So it's great he carries this title, however it happened to land in his lap.

When my Dad was younger and used to go to all the road games as well as home, he once got to meet not only Grbac but also his parents, I think it was at Purdue but may have been Indiana. Said they were great people. Hadn't known before that they were from Croatia.

I remember him being picked but never knew the backstory because it was such an off-the-wall choice by People standards. That was very funny and thanks to the OP for sharing it. Actually, the photo - feet and all - should be shared:

So sexy that Ohio State let him have his way with them four straight times.

Well, three and a half actually.  Let's see how you perform by the fourth time.

I've heard stories from friends that were at U of M during his days that Elvis could walk into any bar in Ann Arbor and walk out with any hottie he wanted.

He was a chick magnet that had serious game.

No /s?  That is the most untrue thing ever written here.  Ever.  He was the opposite of a chick magnet.  He was the polar opposite of the chick magnet - he was tall, skinny, awkward and had a bad complexion.  mark messner got way more action that elvis did, and messner was no chick magnet.

Sexy is in the eye of the beholder.  To me, all I think of when I think of Elvis Grbac is:

Michigan 1989-1992

  • 38-7-3 Record
  • 4 Big 10 Championships
  • 3 Rose Bowls appearances
  • 1 Rose Bowl Championship
  • 2-2 Bowl Record
  • 4-0 vs Ohio State
  • 3-1 vs Michigan State

Now THAT is sexy....

Everybody has bad days. We don't look sexy every day and this is the truth. In my opinion, we should accept people the way who they are. You will get along better if you learn this rule. You can go here and start your way with a dating site. You will learn a lot
