From reading the summary judgement, it seems the NCAA was happy with the steps OSU took to keep track of memorabilia.  I'd be surprised if anything came of this for OSU.  If some of the players lied to the NCAA, then maybe a couple of suspensions, maybe some embarrassment, maybe nothing.

This is what I would want the NCAA to bring down on TSIO:

  • Make Ohio State vacte every single win during Tressel's tenure from 2001-2010 (including the '02 MNC)

  • 3-5 year bowl ban

  • 10 scholarships revoked for 4 years.

That's only a little of what I have in mind. Is that too steep of a request to ask for?

Ellis has a lawyer because it will provide Ellis with his best chance of protection from both retaliation and self-incrimination. Ellis seems heroic to me in rising above his fellows making himself the principle target of the hypocrites (instead of the Chancellor who deserves it); hypocrites I say who pretentiously say OSU has minor violation problems if any; yet on the other hand are willfully blind by extremes respecting the egregious behaviors of THE Administration at OSU; THE Administration who hopes above all else Ellis has no evidence to present against Sarniak. In any event, if what we hear about Ellis is substantially correct, then I pray to God through Jesus he will be strong and persevere.

I am willing to advise all who attempt to follow the proceeding, they should take patience concerning the NCAA at this juncture, by those who would wish as I do there prevail a seeking of the strongest possible penalties due THE Administration of OSU as after a hastening of an outcome of the NCAA investigation during this first of two or more phases - and wistfully I allow with large credit to Ellis and his lawyer. However, due to the experience, I suggest nobody permit what merely seems to be patience to seduce you into thinking there is a process of justice making forward progress in this first phase. For, the outcome from the meeting between Ellis and the almost totally self-absorbed  representative group from the NCAA is liable to produce siren-song airs of indignation which among them, a committee of such proven low character, can be expected to result typically towards a gradual weakening of their future of resolve towards the embracing of any called-for action by what is instead most likely to be an unfortunate absense of appropriate production of a collective correction of course unto their first yet, and feculently overdue admission of an honest characterization of the motives of Ellis and how it rebukes them. The result I expect will be NCAA's inappropriate determination of mind, and allow an attitude of self-righteousness applauded by the public at large (beware the press) in the committee's pursuit of the second-phase investigation of more recent allegations. Regardless of the ultimate penalties they invoke, it will only lower my estimation of them as I wish I was wrong about this; because I fully believe without being prophetic, how they will leave untouched the top-to-bottom excoriation due THE Administration at OSU, all of whom belong in the dustbin of an embarassment of history. It disgusts me to no end to know the NCAA, rather than place an accuracy of blame, would rather allow THE Administration at OSU to collapse upon itself as a penalty for failing to get away with it.

It is absolutely true, in the absence of refinement of justice we are witnessing, a free press has much to gain should they find a legitimate representative means by which to check  the arrogance rampant, with my confidence in their power to extend our collective perception of hope for striking a balanced outcome ultimately as a possible support for belief in a semblance of a system of qualified uncertainty; which is the so-called justice from an elitist class being the only bone thrown to our previously impoverished souls made so due to the debacle at hand. The Elites know we "most likely" will unwillingly content ourselves with our gnawing their damnable bone of less than distinguished half-baked judgements.

..."Lawyer: QB Terrelle Pryor admitted to additional violations while playing at Ohio State".  Can't see it on ESPN so I'm assuming it is breaking elsewhere - anyone have a link?
