He does that weird leg lift thing of his back leg everytime he throws, like a dog lifting his leg to pee.

Looks like more of just a bad habit than anything else.

Harbaugh should be able to fix that.

It will be very interesting to see Harbaugh develop Milton's mechanics.  Milton's arm strength is clearly evident; however, he needs to correct some issues.

Granted this is just one highlight video from one 7on7; however, every now and then he opens up his hips too much (i.e. steps too far to the left ) that causes him to be off-balance when throwing.  His most obvious area for improvement is his throwing motion; his windup is too long/slow and his elbow is too low which messes up his arm slot.  This won't necessarily preclude him from being successful (hello Philip Rivers), but it does make things harder if he doesn't clean some things up.

But jeebus, the ball just explodes out of his hand.  Understanding that good quarterbacking also involves being accurate, reading coverages, understanding the playbook, and a million other things, you simply can't teach that arm strength.

Milton's E11 video reminds me a lot of Shane Morris's E11 tape from Morris's sophomore year.  I haven't really watched Tyler Shough's tape, but it will be interesting to see if the staff pursues a more mechanically developed prospect for its second QB.  Like most/all of us, I will definitely be rooting for Milton, and I think 4 or 5 years with Harbaugh will turn him into a 1st-rounder.

is the exception to the rule because he is accurate and gets the ball out of his hands pretty quick. If you have a long wind up motion, quality DBs will close onto the ball pretty quick for an INT or PBU. Milton can get away with it in college level because his arm is strong but he needs to shorten it up if he wants to play in the NFL.

This looks to be from Saturday. I was there Sunday just after lunch and unfortunately he was already done throwing for the day. Looks pretty decent in this video.

Both QB's are pretty good, but if Michigan can sway J.T. Daniels to commit in 2019 I don't think it will matter. Daniels is that good allready.

I dont even care about the Accuracy issues one bit

Milton is the perfect QB for this years class. Major potential, Strong build, and a Strong Arm. He has Peters and McCafferey ahead of him so he'd be sitting anyways.

No pressure on him and lots of time for Harbaugh to polish this diamond.

Is where all the studs are already. California is loaded in those years. They have 3 of the top 8 QB's in the country that play 1-3 miles from each other. 2021 is super loaded and there are 8-10 QB's that are all 6'3 and better and are already blowing doors off the older competition. I saw 3 of them this weekend at USC Camp and there pretty damn good. 2 have SC and UCLA offers already...

Granted, I have very little first-hand knowledge about coaching, but that kind of muscle-memory seems extremely hard to overwrite.

The postive is that Milton will realistically be the 3rd/4th QB on the depth chart for the next several years behind Speight, Peters, and McCaffery. However, how much time can Pep Hamilton and Harbaugh devote to a 3rd-string QB and give him the one-on-one time he needs to fix those mechanics? This seems more like an offseason project that Milton will have to work on personally or with a hired outside coach like George Whitfield.

Not sure why people are knocking his leg raise on some of his throws. I'm guessing someone had him start doing that to work on weight transfer and making all throws start from the gournd and using your feet. It's not something that effects his throws so nothing to worry about.

He throws a little differently in 7v7 then he does when he's just out slinging it. Seem when there is coverage he kind of reverts to old habits, which can happen when you start playing the game. He just needs to get back to doing everything correctly, like not a long arm wind up and poor arm angle when he releases. He was much better when it wasn't 7v7. Just time and working with the coaches at UM can fix that.

He moves his feet well and squares his shoulders nicely when throwing on the run. He has a very strong arm and does a decent job of getting the nose of the football down on short throws. Wouldn't be too concerned with accuracy as these are all new receivers and not much time to work with them and know if they are running routes correctly and breaking where they should be.

He did seem to make the wrong decision on some of those 7v7 throws so probably needs some work on reading the defense.  He is raw, but you can see the talent. Love his size also.
