EJ Levenberry Jr. possible de-commitment

Except that scholarship specialists screw up too (Gibbons and Hagerup).  The difference between a scholarship snapper and whoever is the best of your 4 walk-on snappers just isn't that great.

My qeustion is what if we strike out on both LT and Green? What if we lose a recruit or two (did last year, 2 to be exact), what if say Furman or T. Carter leave (just off my head), that opens up spots.

Seems silly they wouldn't even consider it.

That was an exciting 15 minutes.  That is about the most action we can see on the board these days- the (untrue) rumor that maybe some player is maybe decommitting and maybe going to visit us.

How do you know Stribling isn't the next Charles Woodson?

Stribling is a non-dwarf CB whom the coaches saw in person at camp. That's a reasonable case in which to say 'I'll trust the coaches on that one.'

It doesn't take D1 coaching acumen to question the value of a scholarship long snapper, however.

Hey Joshisablowhard - if you're gonna bitch about a recruit, at least make the effort to spell his first name correctly.  It's not all that hard. 

But as to your point - do you know better than the coaches how good Stribbling is?  The kid impressed in person in front of the coaches. 

that's not what the SEC does. They make up injuries to underclassmen. Even Michigan sometimes doesn't bring 5th years back.

I don't know... this recruiting class seems pretty tight.  It seems like the two we hear the least about are Kugler and Poggi

Pointing the finger in a particular direction is difficult, which is why I can't sign on about Kugler and Poggi, but the numbers and time until National Signing Day makes this seem more likely. 

If Levenberry is still a possibility, that's good enough. Though the Michigan recruiting strategy these days seems to minimize kids bailing, Levenberry would be a wonderful card to play if the need arises. 

As long as you know Nick Saban.

attrition. seems like the only plausible scenario besides hoke pulling a nick saban. i'd be willing to be someone transfers in the middle of the season. someone who gets buried on the depth chart. at that point, a spot for levenberry would open up.
