the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
EJ Levenberry Announcing on Tuesday
Although FSU already has two LB's... so they may be filling up at LB...
-DD
He also said he was going to help recruit for his team, so yeah, Florida State still fits in there.
Avatar is a reference to this. Go Blue!
Maybe he is doing it out of respect for Michigan and Coach Hoke so they don't save a spot for him.
Michigan's class is full at LB but they've made it clear to him that they're holding a spot for him. Announcing this early has nothing to do with either class filling up. He's just seen everything he needs to see and is making a decision. Your optimism is commendable, but just be careful in setting yourself up for disappointment.
Whoa! Even though he just left us, I'm still not sure who this favors.
If I say a duck can pull a truck, shut up and hook the sucka up!
I feel pretty good about our chances. He said Michigan was the leader for a while, then went to FSU for a week and said they were back to even with Michigan. Then he comes back to Michigan, says it was a fantastic trip, and sets an announcement date... I just feel like if it was Florida State he would have taken more time to think it over since he liked Michigan so much both times he came. It would be a huge surprise if he chose FSU.
"Michigan Defense" is dominating everything, in every aspect of life. That's a rough definition.

"...when the ole' season is over, you and I know, it's going to be Michigan again; Michigan!"
we need a countdown clock, a levenberry liveblog, and preparations for the future posbang!
No radio. Nothing of value.
Buckleing up seems like the safe bet, then you are ready to go regadless of the decision. Lets keep the recruiting machine rollin Hoke & Co.
Serious question: how much importance have the Levenberrys placed on academics?
We'll know Tuesday.
"Quote it. Let them know" - KK
In interviews they always say it's very high up on their list of priorities, but he's consistently maintained FSU and Michigan as the two leaders for a couple months now. I think the coaching staff is way more important to them than academics. He has an incredible father who just wants to do right by his son, I don't think they look at Florida State like I would as a Michigan grad. So to answer your implied question, no, I don't think that tips the hand one way or the other.
the last time I can remember that a kid was essentially down to UofM and FSU and said academics would be the most important factor, he chose FSU and Michigan fans mocked him fairly relentlessly.
Then he won a Rhodes Scholarship.
There is no time, sir, at which ties do not matter.
The thing is, unless you're going for the Rhodes specifically, you do deserve to be mocked for picking FSU on the basis of academics.
As it turns out, they have carved out something of a niche for themselves just in terms of preparing students for the scholarship. So if that's what Levenberry wants, FSU may be the place for him. But generally speaking, it is a subpar academic institution.
From what I recall, FSU took him on an extensive tour of their bio-medical labs, set him up for multiple days shadowing faculty in them, and laid out a program where he could quickly advance, over the course of 2 1/2 years, to doing graduate work in his chosen field. They tailored a specific academic program for him and showed him the roadmap whereby he could accomplish his academic and athletic goals, while we kind of rested on our academic reputation.
And I really doubt they tried to sell him on "we'll get you a rhodes."
I think they had 2-3 other Rhodes finalists before Rolle came on board, and had one more after he won his. My understanding is that they are specifically tailoring things to some athletes to compete for the award. Your answer is more specific, but I think both are complementary.
says it's definitely Michigan! But she did say she was surprised to see me.....
If someone ever invented a low fat vitamin - filled vegetable that tasted like fudge covered Rice Krispies treats - I'd probably eat better
TTB's evaluation must have pushed him over the edge.
Exactly. Once you get compared to Obi Ezeh what else is there to wait for?
did not see this coming...
if he picks FSU, i hope the staff starts pushing hard for Michael Hutchings/ Peter Kalambayi/Alex Anzalone
If he commits who else is committing? Or are we getting 8 commits and closing up the class on Tuesday?
Levenberry goes to FSU, and in a shocker, Michael Hutchings commits to M, never having been to the midwest.
This starts the Cali stampede, where Joe Mathis and S'ua Cravens join up with Eddie Vanderdoes to make a strong Cali force for M . . .

It is no longer a surprise.

In Michigan's case, good things come to those who wait? Yes? Si? Ya?
'Try growing up in Texas a Michigan WOLVERINE'.
If we pick Levenberry up. This class is just unreal.
Yep, that's Simba made out of a pineapple.
on FSU.
There is no time, sir, at which ties do not matter.
I'd say (based upon what I've heard) I'd say Michigan is the safe bet. His father loves FSU, but EJ loves Michigan. His mother coming on the trip with him to Michigan is a damn good sign for Michigan.
Roll Tide.
I'd say (based upon what I am hoping for) I'd say I hope ur right.
FSU got the long visit, but the commit is coming right after Mrs. Levenberry visited. Which one should we give more weight to ?
"Underwear Wearing Basement Dweller"
Farrell still thinks it's FSU, although he's less confident than he was. I know he uses the Homer Simpson makeup shotgun to predict recruits a lot of the time, but he's been adamant about this one for months.
Guess we'll see.
There is no time, sir, at which ties do not matter.
RDT, wheres been the updates lately? Miss reading the info...
The coaches turned away several highly regarded linebackers and yet kept Levenberry's offer on the table. I'd say there's a good chance the coaches knew what they were doing. Smart money is on Michigan.
I've decided to lay off the food for a while, and go on the booze.
They knew they were going to get Gedeon and were fine with 2 linebackers unless the third was Levenberry.
There is no time, sir, at which ties do not matter.

Football is both an identity and a terminal illness. A rhythm and a chaos and an opiate for the mind all at once.
