Effect of moving OSU game?
I'll be doing my own part to keep the attendance up. The folks I normally spend Thanksgiving weekend with will just have to understand.

When I saw the title of this post, Michael Scott's intimidation tactics immediately came to mind from his raise negotiations with Darryl from Season 4 of The Office...

Was the 2001 game really postponed? It occurred after Thanksgiving, but I thought that was just how it was scheduled (like the 1990 and '95 games). I know that the Western Michigan game that year was postponed a week, but I don't believe any other games' dates were changed that year.
I believe they shifted the whole NCAA schedule 1 week. I could be mistaken though.
I put up a tough front, but deep down I just want to be held.
Negative, it was up to individual schools. Michigan only had to move the WMU and Illinois games back a week. Michigan and Illinois had mutual byes that week, so it worked out well.
So perhaps the schedule was just planned that way?
Can you say higher chance of snow bowls?
Even though I'd rather it be the week after, I'm sure plenty of people will find a way to work it out. Maybe U-M could shift Thanksgiving break a little bit or add some days before or after (not sure how specifically it'd work, as I haven't looked at the calendar) so that people could go home the day after the OSU game.
The unfortunate consequence is that there will probably be more OSU fans in the house.

I thought the sarcasm would be evident there. Let me translate from sarcasm to literal: A one week change in the schedule will not affect the greatest rivalry in sports.
