Yeah not sure which part you were reading:
"I have already made my decision with me and my family as far as where I am going to be going, but nobody will know until signing day," Clements said. "I have made my decision and I will keep that with my family. I don't want the hassle of recruiting going into the season. I have let the school know that I will be coming."

Interesting timing for this quote: "Clements discussed the coaching staff of his selection, "They are very down to Earth and they are all about the kids. There are some coaches that are just about winning, but these coaches are about school first and the way they talk to me, it is different." Hopefully I'm just reading into it too far...

That sounds like the exact same thing RR said in his press conference. He's all about the kids and they put school before football. Sounds like M from this qoute. I dont get why he would wait till signing day to announce tho. As said above me in a previous comment, schools are gonna recruit down to the last day. If a school is gonna recruit you even if you are committed to another school then what would stop them from recruiting if you said you were a silent commit?

...commits to his coaches so they know what positions they have to recruit. If he silently committed to Michigan or Georgia, they'd probably be done at RB and move on to other prospects (not sure about Miami). The advantage for the recruit is that he can say "I've already made my choice" to other recruiters and he doesn't have to worry about making a decision. And this probably isn't the recruit's intent, but it forces other coaches to keep recruiting him (i.e. spending valuable time and effort) when they could be concentrating on other kids.
