EDSBS: Millen and McDonough calling the OSU game (pretty funny)
For anyone looking for a chuckle at the expense of our two conference rivals, Spencer Hall (EDSBS) shares his unique take on Matt Millen and Sean McDonough calling the MSU-OSU game:

Matt: And nodding suggestively, too. Braxton Miller runs like a handicapped person who stole something but is also handicapped. Sean: No argument here, though the handicapped may be offended at being compared to something that slow. Matt: Seems like ol Jim Bollman got into the grain alcohol a few quarters early today, Sean. Sean: Yessir, a 15 yard in-route run backwards seems counter-productive. Matt: In the film room, they explained this play to us by saying that they wanted to get the ball to their guy in space, but also cut out the middle man by losing all yardage on first down to conserve energy. Sean: Mission accomplished. Here's the punt.

The actual call for the game might have been more entertaining. Sean Mac is the only PXP guy that I know of who openly gripes about how terrible a team is playing in the middle of the game. At some point in the game Saturday, OSU ran some sorry ass play where Bauserman was tackled behind the line of scrimmage and instead of narrating the play, MacDonough just sort of watched it and then at the end said "Wow, this is pathetic".

Yeah he gets personally offended when the team he is covering is playing poorly. Like he can't believe that they are so blatently wasting his time.

Listening to Frank Beckmann try to call games for shitty Lions teams was some of the most hilarious radio I ever heard.

I lol'ed at that same moment... He dragged it out too, and they both discussed how bad the offense was it was just brutal to watch lol..

he wasn't holding anything back, but you kind of have to call it like you see it. For the ABC 3:30 game, that was remarkably bad. I actually think State executed their game plan fairly well, I just don't think anybody thought they would be able to carry through their game plan as easily as they did. But Sean M. had no choice, boo birds raining down from above, it was really pathetic.

I am laughing so hard that our group admin came into my office to see what the hell was going on. I then sent the link to an OSU alum and she is now howling in her office...holy tap dancing christ that is hilarious.

of some of the stuff on Designate Robertson that made me literally laugh so loud that people come to see what's so funny. I love blog posts that are "transcripts" of events.
