Submitted by alum96 on

Wow sounds like he is still struggling to make a choice.

I guess he needs more time to think. I feel for the kid, he's gotta be so torn. When you're 17/18 and have grown men constantly calling/texting trying to persuade you to choose their school, I'm sure it gets old real quick.

Sam Webb is on the radio now. Says scuttlebutt is trending Ohio State but is still cautious about giving it too much weight. Also suggesting that if Weber sticks with Ohio State itll be in large part to Weber's close friend and fellow Ohio State commit Josh Alabi persuading him. Weber's decision, according to Sam, is likely not affected by Higdon's move.

down to this level? Here we are acknowledging how much it must suck to be besieged like he has been by the schools, but panting after every scrap. Guess it makes Brian .0000000657 cents per hit, but I must say, as the father of a daughter who is a gifted athlete (11 y.o.) who has high school coaches inquiring about where she's headed, wow--I have glimpsed why parents get riled and confused.

Saying our signing of Higdon swayed things back to the Bucks. Apparently Weber secretly had an OV last week and was set to go blue until the Higdom thing happened. Strange.

If Weber really wanted to flip to Michigan he's had ample opportunity to do so. It's not for lack of Harbaugh & staff trying; it's not a case of not "showing enough love." I'm not saying that Weber didn't want the competition with Higdon, but sometimes people having a hard time making a decision can use seemingly irrelevant things to justify a final choice. So be it. Karan sounds like a great kid.

i think he's blue. rumors yesterday were saying his coach was pushing him to umich. obv it's not good for the coaches future players, so they set up a smoke screen today saying the coach is telling him to honor his commitment. right? right??

and unicorn farts, but I still would rather have Weber than Higdon b/c of the whole clean up your own backyard aspect to recruting. If they're about equal, I'd rather have the in-state kid than the out of state one, and in this case, I think Weber's better, but not by that much.

Very unofficial here, but a buddy of mine who follows osu insiders said that he's already called Meyer and said he's going to the dark side.  For what its worth...

Where this kid is going has been all about "depending on who you ask" so nothing surprises me at this point where he announces he's going.

Getting to the point where a coin flip is needed. All seriousness, in all the pictures that he is in wearing OSU apparel, he looks depressed. I feel for the kid.

I would bet a Zima that Higdon had no effect on Weber...

Simply because OSU has a Heisman contender in jr RB - Elliot, highly touted soph Samuel, former high recruit Dunn, Ball, etc...plus the #1 RB recuitfor 2016 verballed.

I think its more to do with comfort level down there.  He's had roughly two weeks of Harbaugh contact?  Just not enough time...

Scout's got great coverage on this right now, high drama stuff. Looks like Higdon was a problem for him but Harbaugh's trying to get him back on board as we speak which is the reason for the delayed announcement.

If he comes here I will walk outside the office in my "where the wild things are" tshirt and scream "HOLY SHIT!"

I just can't imagine loving a school your entire life and choosing to go to a lesser academic school that you've hated your entire life.

During last season, I could totally understand.

But, if he's more worried about competing with Higden than the 5* back the bucks have coming in next year, he's not thinking clearly.

Regardless, as Don said, I'm find with Higden.

then.....? Haha. Good luck to him. He won't find it any easier in the osu backfield competition. If it's due to friends going there that's different but I think we all need to acknowledge that our "CGlenville" is open. The CT pipeline is ruptured. Can't say CT kids never pan out in spite/anger as UM used to have the pick of the Detroit litter if they offered. Not the case anymore for a few reasons. Good luck to him no matter what.

to osu. I'm sure it was hard on him & UM was thought the favorite as lately as a couple hours ago but I doubt get the "lower rated/different skilled" HB scaring him off. I think his friends, ex-CT members/players now at osu plays a huge part. Best to him but I really hope Higdon had nothing to do with it as it doesn't make sense. I have to believe it was the pull of friends, the easy he came & went from UM, etc. Best to him. osu is officially an SEC North team & that's not a compliment. They'll have to cut a bunch of kids & it's just shady. Just shows how much osu will let their football program run the school policy when winning. It's sad. I never did but with this mentality apparent I will never condone it or root for it. It's a sad state in the conference right now. That said, best to Weber.

As long as he makes the best choice for him, then wherever he goes is fine. Can't go wrong with either choice, but I certainly wouldn't blame him for picking the reigning national champions.

I hope Harbaugh can get him back on board, but even if he can't, we're not exactly hurting for running back talent right now. Higdon is on board, Smith and Green have extensive playing time, and Isaac is the whole package.
