Hello everyone!

I know this is OT but it is a big deal in Alabama to see if UAB is bring back not just football other three sports included at 4 P.M.

They had received over 27 million dollars to support UAB to build new stadiums in downtown Birmingham. I been these area they are nice. Have new baseball stadiums called Regions Field.

"The Stadium will serve as a unique landmark within the campus and the City Center,"

I hope that Watts going to be gone no matter what! He got to GO!

The university announced the decision on Dec. 2, 2014. Minutes after president Ray Watts met with Blazers players and coaches, while several hundred UAB students and fans gathered outside for the third straight day in efforts to support the program. UAB made the decision after a campus-wide study conducted by a consulting firm over the past year.

Watts claimed UAB was losing money if they keep UAB but there were no proof of deflect. There also few links show that Watts have strong relationship with University of Alabama and had took millions of dollars from UAB to Alabama. UAB had been thrives on football that put Alabama in fear. I don’t remember where I saw it Alabama have over 65% of outstate students to go Alabama and UAB have much higher than 50% in state Alabama student who are high academy.

They're gonna be reinstated per al.com

Here's a video that went viral of a UAB player ripping the UAB president a new one from back in December.

The Alabama board controls UAB and members of the board, specifically Little Bear, don't like UAB and it's history. It's not about being afraid of each other.

it's too bad that they won't have their best player, Jordan Howard, on the roster. Jordan Howard is slated to be the starting RB for Indiana as a transfer. He ran for 1,643 yards.  Jordan Howard is a big back at 6'1" and 228 lbs, but he is fast enough to run for a big play.

EDIT: UAB just announced that their football program is back which is great news for everybody all around!

Hurt my brain and I am a Cryptologist by trade. Needed my Ovaltine decoder ring. Glad I received the tweet that they restored football. Whew.

I thought it was one of those "if you can read this you have a strong brain" messages.

I'm so gonna report on the shit going down at UAB. I'm gonna write it up with some of my own special flavor and make it such a cool read.

And then......

FYI, you guys: the OP is not a native English speaker.  If you had to write all your posts in a secondary language I doubt they would all be perfect.

So what happens to all the people that transferred out already? I know the University of Toledo already has taken in a defense of back from UAB.

EMU's revenue was over 80% from subsidies. That's not earning money. That's the school and students giving the AD money to cover expenses. WMU and CMU lost less money, though still quite a bit. All three would be better off financially if they gave up Div-1 football, especially EMU.

Thanks for the link.  Interesting to see how big of a subsidy some of the schools have, and it makes you wonder how long they can keep having a football team - I am of course assuming that football for some of these small schools is a huge money pit.

is a head coach of another sport at one of those schools. They actually win but have had their budget cut. He's long wished they would drop football. It's going to be a big money loser for the foreseeable future. The administration claims football provides valuable publicity and helps with donations. He thinks it's more ego driven.

I'm late to the thread, but man was the first half of this post hard to follow.  I just scrolled down to where it was said UAb would keep the team and then Memento'd my way back through the post to figure out what was going on.
