“He was on the other side of the court, screaming: ‘Good shot, Kev!’” Durant said, shaking his head in delight. “I’m thinking, this guy’s an All-American type of teammate right there.”

I read this to my wife - she is convinced we are long lost twins
THIS HAS BEN GATES WRITTEN ALL OVER IT
There are a lot of weird similarities between this year and 1989. Besides the ones you mentioned, a couple others that have happened in both seasons:
-Michigan went 12-6 in Big Ten play
-Michigan lost seven total games in the regular season, including the home finale.
-We had an agonizing last-second loss at Wisconsin. (In '89 we lost when Robinson missed two FTs - or was it the front end? - in the final seconds.)
-IU swept us, with the game in Crisler being a one-point win.
-IU won the Big Ten title but failed to make the Final Four.
-We made a lineup change late in the season (starting Higgins in '89, starting McGary in '13)
-Michigan was the last Big Ten team standing both years.
One teensy difference: we didn't have to fire our coach this time around.
so wise in the ways of science??
Robinson bricked both ends vs Wisconsin, which made it a much more picture-perfect ending when he nailed the pair vs Seton Hall with 3 seconds left in the final.
Hmmm...if the heartbreaking ending vs Wisconsin was reversed in the 1989 final, could that mean that in this year's final Michigan will deflect the inbounds pass or block the final shot as time expires??
Kennedy and Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln. Science!
No but that actually is kinda weird!
discoveries and research in the the field of Tournament Champion Picks will be celebrated for generations to come. Einstein who?!?
By the way, how about this week's Powerball numbers? I'll give you a 20% cut.
but why would I share that information with you at all??
The last season Michigan Hockey missed their NCAA tournament? 1989(-1990). Obviously basketball's next NCAA championship comes the next time hockey missed NCAA's, the bookend year of their (2012-)2013 season.
After this year, the only logical conclusion is that both teams win NCAA titles every year.
If we go by the scientifically proven hypothesis that the first letter of the city that we play in determines our probability of winning games, then we now have a 91.1% chance of winning the tournament given that we are now 21-1 in cities that start with the letter A.
Also, Michigan (1989) and Michigan (2013) both have 8 letters.
because if this works out, you could probably make a huge career from the numbers mumbo-jumbo. it would be like a jedi mind-trick. the irs agent would hesitate and say, 'no. these aren't the tax evaders we were looking for. their 1040 is fine. move along.'
"Your Jedi mind tricks won't work with me, boy"
