He's a four star player at a position of need and has about as good an offer list as you can get. I realize he's being recruited at a different DE position than Kareem, but still kind of takes the sting out of losing him to Bama.

Plus, it gives us a commit in Jersey that can stay in the ear of Hawkins, Mitchell, Gary, etc.

Considering it's a local paper, it could be pretty much any DE from NJ that has a rating (2 star or higher). There are 6 DEs on 247 that fit that.

  1. Ron Johnson (at Michigan)
  2. Quayshon Alexander (Committed to Nebraska about a week ago)
  3. Jamal Holloway (dunno any visit plans, most think he ends up at Rutgers it seems)
  4. Brandon Simon (most think Syracuse, but was on or is on an unofficial to Rutgers since the 23rd)
  5. Sal Mauro (no idea, no Rutgers offer)
  6. Eli Lapp (no offers that I can see).

 

So that would leave me to believe it's Ron Johnson or Brandon Simon.

4-star, composite #217 national player at SDE, a huge position of need. He would also be the first of the Jersey and Philly quartet to drop, which could start an avalanche of high four stars...
