[edit] OT: National Drink Beer Day
Title says it all. Today is National Drink a Beer Day. How will you celebrate?
At work, where beer is not allowed, a couple of us bought a bunch of Root Beer to pass around the office. Tonight, I need suggestions because I am shockingly out of beer at home!
Edit: It was pointed out that it is National Drink Beer Day...not a Beer!

Some good choices so far. I'm particularly fond of Founders Breakfast Stout, Pumpking, and Arrogant Bastard for this time of the year.
My choice for the evening will be either Tumbler from Sierra Nevada or Red Hoptober from New Belgium. (and of course by either, I mean both)

Drinking a Tumbler right now, good call.

For those living in Philadelphia, Yuengling is giving away FREE BEER in bars across the city starting at 6:30. Limit one beer per bar. I shall be going bar hopping.

Hacker Pschorr Octoberfest. Guess I'll have to drink a few to fully participate in this special holiday.

I shall celebrate with some Southern Teir Imperial Pumpking Ale. I suggest you do the same.

If you're near Chicago and haven't tried out the stuff by Two Brothers you're missing out. They're a microbrewery in Warren (IL) and they make some great stuff. Personal faves of mine are the Dog Days summer ale so that's out of season sadly, and their Domaine Dupage french wheat ale. Highly recommend them, they have like 10-12 varieties to choose from. Costco carries a variety pack and Trader Joes carries them too.

I really dig the cans of Outlaw. Hop Juice (though limited) is the tops though in my book.

I would submit that this topic is in fact not OT, and that beer drinking is an integral part of the Michigan fan experience.

This holiday sounds like it would fit in well with National Eat Something Day and National Breathe Day. Anyway I am having the last of the Summer Shandys. Farewell summer. I might follow that up with a Traverse City Cherry Wheat from Atwater.

Recently purchased twelve Breakfast Stouts. Trying to make this supply last is more difficult than I imagined. Hard to stop at just one.
