Got a twelve pack of this for the last tailgate and loved it. Never tried it before and found that it was quite good.
 OT: National Drink Beer Day
My girlfriend likes their Dirty Blonde. I've had better wheat/lighter beers, but it's pretty good
I think the Atwater Dunkel is TREMENDOUS, and that's not normally one of my preferred types of beer.
I will put mine down while driving to Detroit tonight.
I second this. I fully understand why the law exists, but as long as you're not impaired and you're under a 0.08 BAC, I see nothing wrong with drinking a cold one while driving.
Open container laws vary by state
JeepinBen (and Car and Driver, they have their own disclaimer if you follow the link) do NOT condone drinking and driving, or driving while intoxicated. /PSA'd
Seriously, I do it all the time. Sometimes a man just wants a cold one. I do it on the riding mower and that has spinning blades below my feet. I only have one every hour or two.
better than Oberon, IMO
I was thinking about Oberon, but since that is a standard I thought I should try something new for the holiday!
I've got a few of those in the fridge right now. Definitely going to knock back a couple while watching the Tigers game tonight.
on Friday nights? I don't think I've ever done that. I might have a hard time with this holiday.
I may have to tip one back tonight then. I do have at least one bottle of Breakfast Stout at home, along with some others. I will be keeping my second bottle of Bitches Brew though until the wife is done being pregnant. Had the first bottle last weekend.
I'll probably drink a beer. Or not. Haven't made up my mind yet.
I celebrated at 1am this morning. In my mind it was still Thursday, but I'm glad I took part in the festivities of an international holiday.
this is delicious
Beer is always allowed.
Ginger Beer. Just kidding, that's awful. So i'll be working on application essays, sooooo probably won't drink much of anything. maybe I'll have a can of rolling rock before going to bed. Don't judge me.
You can't make a Dark and Stormy without ginger beer.
Dark 'n Stormys are delicious. A good ginger beer goes a long way in making the perfect Moscow Mule, also.
Go out and find dogfish head's pumpkin ale. It's in season & you won't be disappointed! Go Blue
Great, great choice.
Damn right. That's what I'm having tonight. I'm brewing my own version tomorrow, so I gotta get my mind right.
Also probably AleSmith IPA and/or some Ballast Point Sculpin the lady brought me back from SD.
Go out and find a Southern Tier Pumpking. It is infinitely better then Dogfish Head's Pumpkin.
I'm sucking on Rubbing alcohol packets.
I'm throwin back a handful of hand sanitizer every 5 minutes.
I'll celebrate at least six times today, probably more. Homebrewed Mexican lager... It's still summer here in Tampa.
...sent by way of my friend at the corner store to me from Abingdon in Oxfordshire.
Had this on cask in Lititz about a month ago.
Not a straight up beer guy, but this'll have to do.
We have a Tap Room at work, where my company has a bar area with beer provided certain hours. So - after I finish what I'm doing, I'm going to go upstairs and grab a beer. Just for you guys.
Is your company hiring?
Its National Drink Beer Day. So don't feel obligated to limit yourself to just one, not that you would of anyways.
I thought it meant I could only drink one, as opposed to other days when I drink multiple.
the worst holiday ever.
I apologize for my error, first post mistake!
1. Founders Breakfast Stout
2. New Holland Dragon's Milk
3. Homebrew Russian Imperial Stout
I see ya, Friday.
A special yum to Dragon's Milk. That is some really good stuff right there.
I'm going to have many more than one.
Headed to Taco Mac, they have a few hundred to choose from so I'll just have to play it by ear.
Founders Breakfast Stout
I'll probably just grab a Sam Adams at the airport lounge later tonight on my way home.
I will be at the New Glarus Oktoberfest visiting my grandparents. Much Staghorn will be consumed by me.
I have a smattering of Firestone Walker brews in my fridge which I will inevitably consume at some point tonight.
This has to be the greatest holiday of the year.
I celebrate National Drink a Beer day, every day. Yuengling for today, High Life for the weekend
Some good choices so far. I'm particularly fond of Founders Breakfast Stout, Pumpking, and Arrogant Bastard for this time of the year.
My choice for the evening will be either Tumbler from Sierra Nevada or Red Hoptober from New Belgium. (and of course by either, I mean both)
Drinking a Tumbler right now, good call.
For those living in Philadelphia, Yuengling is giving away FREE BEER in bars across the city starting at 6:30. Limit one beer per bar. I shall be going bar hopping.
Hacker Pschorr Octoberfest. Guess I'll have to drink a few to fully participate in this special holiday.
I shall celebrate with some Southern Teir Imperial Pumpking Ale. I suggest you do the same.
I'm hopin to at least put down a sixer when I get out of work.
If you're near Chicago and haven't tried out the stuff by Two Brothers you're missing out. They're a microbrewery in Warren (IL) and they make some great stuff. Personal faves of mine are the Dog Days summer ale so that's out of season sadly, and their Domaine Dupage french wheat ale. Highly recommend them, they have like 10-12 varieties to choose from. Costco carries a variety pack and Trader Joes carries them too.
I really dig the cans of Outlaw. Hop Juice (though limited) is the tops though in my book.
I would submit that this topic is in fact not OT, and that beer drinking is an integral part of the Michigan fan experience.
the best beer (quite possibly) ever made. Definitely, Atwater's best.
Dogfish Head's Punkin Ale. I normally feel a lot if their brews are overrated, but Punkin is spot on. My favorite pumpkin ale.
Punkin is an unbelievable pumpkin ale. One of the only pumpkin ales I will purchase.
Gotta represent the Mitten. Dragon's Milk by New Holland. In my prime I drank two 22's and switched to swill. Now that much would put me in the ER. Great stuff though for any one looking for high gravity beer.
I had a two hearted, bear republic 5, and a seeing double imperial ipa then handed the keys to my wife.
Ice. 'Cuz I'm into sacrilege and that's what is in my fridge.
This holiday sounds like it would fit in well with National Eat Something Day and National Breathe Day. Anyway I am having the last of the Summer Shandys. Farewell summer. I might follow that up with a Traverse City Cherry Wheat from Atwater.
Recently purchased twelve Breakfast Stouts. Trying to make this supply last is more difficult than I imagined. Hard to stop at just one.
Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Wild Ale.
Sam Adams Octoberfest.
I have 32 different kinds of beer in my house (to be fair a good amount is off limits because I am cellaring it) which makes choosing what to have difficult. I think I will have a Surly Coffee Bender and a Founders Breakfast Stout.
Had a bit of homebrew earlier. Now, some Great Lakes Nosferatu.
Is my new favorite from my hometown brewery Bells
