Edit: Northwestern loses to Minnesota in OT

Submitted by MichiganMan2424 on

Michigan will play the winner of this game tomorrow at 6:30 on BTN in the B1G quarterfinals. People seemed to be split on who they wanted Michigan to play, but most people were hoping for an OT game to help drain out both teams a little. Good game so far, if you can turn it on.

Edit: Tough luck for NW. Michigan vs 'Sota tomorrow at 6:30 on BTN.

torn with this game, I want to face Minny cause I think there an easier win, but I want Shurna and Northwestern to make the NCAA Tounrament for the first time ever. So go Northwestern Gophers I guess????

I could careless if they are drained are not....we should handle either one of these teams by at least 10. No reason not to beat the tar out of them. This tourny should come down to...Mich, Sparty, IU and ohio.

handle them by 10 at least, we should in all accounts probably be 0-2 against Northwestern. We neeeded doudle digit comebacks both games, and then overtime both games also to win. We are the better team no doubt, But we aren't 10 points better ona neutral court game IMO. Nortwestern goes all small in their lineups and gives us fits.

It is Minny, I for one wanted to see a quadruple+ OT Game from these guys, I'll take any advantage I can get especially when earned by tying for 1st.

Go Blue, I don't think Minn is gonna be an easy out, they looked athletic to me.

44 seconds left, Minnesota up 71-68, NW ball. Andre Hollins has been playing the game of his life, 25 points on 10-17 shooting.

They're done. Sucks for NW. Now lets take care of business tomorrow vs the Golden Gophers.

But they couldn't defend OSU for the final 10 seconds at home and lost, then they lose to Minnesota in the first round. I hope they make tourney, but if they don't ... sorry about your damn luck.

Fell bad for NW players.

Feel joy in the thought of Michael Wilbon snivelling about NW blowing their chance at the tourney yet again.

Don't watch a lot of NU games, but he seemed to vanish for long stretches against us as well.  Seem to remember their coach even bringing it up that he needs to be more active/involved.

Probably means he's a good guy in real life, just lacks that MJ/Kobe outlook that everyone is the enemy and it is his job to defeat them.

Still likes NW.  Being Lunardi's top team in his first four in, maybe that gives them a few spots to fall after the loss today (and time for other bubbles up there with them to fall off).  Man, I passionately want them in the Tourney for some reason.  Tough loss for Carmody & Co.

Hope to see a murder tomorrow evening against Minnesota.

Too bad for Northwestern but I would rather of played Minnesota and its a good thing the game went into overtime so they will probably be tired tomorrow. Michigan should take care of business to advance to the semifinals.

I don't feel sorry for Northwestern at all, 1-10 vs top 50, they've had plenty of chances throughout the year and never seem to turn the corner. Time to call a spade a spade, they aren't that good.
