We're the only blog on the planet to have a rival school's player on the front page of our site - for DAYS.

 "The curse of Sullinger" - hard at work today.  Not sure if anyone else was bothered by this, but honestly it's kind of annoying... lol. What a shitty day.  Can't wait for a full week or work and to hear about more recruits not picking us... da fuck!!!!!!!!!

Who in their right mind would choose Iowa over Michigan... after I heard this I literally sat at the computer for about 5 minutes trying to think of any reason why someone would chose a cornfield in the middle of BF nowhere vs. the big house.  I can see Stanford, but Iowa... jebus... the planets are not aligned tonight.

I'd assume Kozan chose Iowa because he had a better relationship with Iowa's coaches and felt more comfortable there.  Judging by mentions on Michigan sites like this one, Kozan wasn't really on Michigan's radar until very, very late in the recruiting process.  Hoke and staff struck out on a few recruits they desired more and then tried to persuade Kozan to come aboard at the last minute.  Kozan apparently considered their offer and decided to stick with the people who'd been recruiting him from the start.  Doesn't seem too outrageous to me.

If we had no info on this class until signing day everyone would be saying, oh wow, what an awesome class! So we missed out on some last minute big name recruits. The 2013 class is looking great. May be next year Hoke will put more icing on the cake with signing more of these last minute big name recruits? Overall, I'm quite pleased with Hoke's recruiting class of 2012 and 2013 may even be better. We will definitely be in the mix for the B1G title and BCS bowls in the years to come, given our infusion of talent!

The class is still going to be in the top ten with a lot of talent and character. We lost out on guys who all had good reasons to choose the schools they did. Garnett was distance, Kozan was probably a big priority for Iowa in a way he wasn't for M, and Reeves' best friend and near brother decided for Ohio. Urban has (admittedly effectively) taken advantage of the situation at Penn. St. and seems able to sell desperation. Let's have some perspective here. This is frustrating but certainly not the end of the world.

This class is pretty damn good and a lot of you all are acting like we dont even have a top 50 class. Get a GD grip and stopping flaming our coach's so called "closing" ability. It makes this sound like a bucknuts or rcmb thread. Commits in summer are just as good as commits in late Jan/Feb.
<br>Lastly, it is not like any of these guys would make or break this class. Would they have been nice to have? Absolutey. But there is no need to completely freak out. It makes you sound like a kid on Christmas who got 23 great toys, but is so spoiled they are pissed because is wasn't 25 or more. Grow up.

It is as if we have zero commits and we just finished off 5-7. Fricken calm down, we still have players to commit. The ones that went elsewhere? Forget them, Go Blue! Most we are missing out on we got in late or there are other circumstances, we'll get Diamond, Grant, Henry, and a surprise.

Point but the ones we missed in particular Garnett was because of distance IMO. The others we were late to the ball with, Reeves was never coming here with his circumstance. Even if we miss out on all, we did well, next will be player development.

IF Diamond, Grant, Henry and Muller all commit elsewhere, and there are no signing day surprises, (1) does that open five spots for the 2013 recruiting class, and (2) is there any word about potential transfers who might eventually fill the positions of need that were left out in the cold by all of these late-season misses?

I'm embarrassed by some of the responses I'm these last 3 threads. What the hell is wrong with some of you?
<br>
<br>"Hoke can't close"
<br>"what's wrong with our coaches"
<br>"I'm pissed. This is bullshit"
<br>
<br>I guess we'll just have to settle for Kalis, Mags, Pipkins, Bolden, and the rest of the top 5 class that everyone was ga-ga about all year long.

I could care less about not getting these guys. MSU is ranked #44...we are ranked #5. I am proud of the coaches getting a class like this for their first year. Bring in the guys who are sold out to us. Superior coaching and desire can overcome a couple of "lost" recruits.

I can see why everyone is freaking out.

1) Texas

2) Alabama

3) Ohio

4) Michigan

5) Florida

Sucks to have the 4th ranked class in the nation.
