He made a post(s) earlier today after the game, can't track it down since we're in MGoBoard Overload Mode right now but octal9 is right, he is a very level headed ND fan and IIRC was gracious in defeat.

Wow. Tate is the man, son. How about that 4th down 35 yard scamper up the middle?? Some of you saw my 4-0 prediction to start the season and probably laughed. Now it is all about taking care of two lesser teams to generate serious momentum going into the Big Ten season. Go Blue!!! It's great -- to be -- a MICHIGAN WOLVERINE!

I don't think you read the entirety of my diary post,
With that all said, ND is playing at UM, in front of 108,000 anti-fans who are going to be loud the entire game, angry the entire game and ready to win again. If UM can come out strong early and continue the same type of play they had against WMU, it will be a close game till the end no matter what advantage I may think ND has

than I could be. You are balanced, thoughtful and respectful of this board and its Michigan perspective. You don't offer or take all the bait that's available. You and a number of other really great Irish fans are what make me respect the hell out of Notre Dame. A Notre Dame fan that was given an "All In for Michigan" shirt gave me the shirt so I could give it to my 12yr old son. Class. You, your team and fans deserve better than results you've seen. This rivalry makes the game of college football great and both teams great. Our two programs are v-e-r-y much the same. You Sir are a great fan representative of a great school and football program.

Not sure what the OP is smoking. Irish is an alright guy who seems to be pretty objective, if not ambivalent. He just happens to root for the wrong team.

Remember, we hate the Irish because they are a lot like us, not because they are like OSU. Edit: I would hate the Irish a lot less if Weis wasn't the coach. I just can't stand him.

I wouldn't. I will hate Notre Dame forever and all time regardless of whoever coaches or plays for them. That said, I'll agree that the Irish are very similar to us. I'm glad that Irish contributes here and am usually interested to read his opinions.

As stated by others, his commentary is fair and balanced. But beyond that , he is accurate as well. He called the game pretty spot on. ND did dominate our secondary. Boubacar STRUGGLED today. He was out of position many times and got burned a couple as well. I'm not one to give ND credit, but those receivers are something special and, yes I'm thrilled we won, but "Irish" deserves credit as well. One more thing: Jimmah is nothing special. I was there and watched him just throw the dall high and deep and let his great receivers make plays. He's not overly accurate and a team with a seasoned, fast seconadary will pick him apart. I predict ND finishes the season 8-4, no BCS and Charlie may flounder again.

Your insights are good. Keep it up. And let's face it, if there were maybe 20-30 seconds more on the clock, the outcome might have been very different. ND has a lot of future pros on this squad, no doubt about it. Sam Young, McCarthy, Tate, Floyd, and Jimmy will all play on Sundays. Great game. IMO, this is what college football is all about.
