Ebay Buyer Protection Question
I have the opportunity to buy some tickets for tomorrow off of craigslist. The seller says they are having an issue with paypal and want to do it through Ebay buyer Protection plan. Anyone heard of or familiar with this? I got tickets in 311 but these are an upgrade for the same price. Just want to be sure I'm not walking into a $600 scam.

either read the whole thing or search for eBay.
Generally when someone says "problems with PayPal" that means they are doing something PayPal doesnt like, which should lead you to proceed with caution
Sounds fishy. Besides, eBay is partnered with PayPal an I believe the buyer protection plan is only valid if payment is made using PP
Sounds similar to the guy got screwed over a few days ago with the people saying that they were having troubles with PayPal. I'll only use Paypal because of the protection. Sounds shady to me. I wouldn't do it
You guys have all confirmed my instinct. I'll stick with what I have.
how hard will it be just to buy tickets from someone in atlanta? or out in front of the dome....if i am going down to atlanta without tickets can i get them on the street?
i would say yes you can find tickets outside. when i went to the football NCG with USC/OU i had 2 extra tickets and couldnt even sell them. granted it was 2 teams that had to travel further but i think you can find some for sale.
Will only cover you if the tickets are purchased on Ebay and paid through PayPal or Bill Me Later, and it has to be an eligible item. I would tell the guy to list the tix as a Buy it Now on Ebay and then he would have to be registered with EBay ... check the listing and make sure it qualifies for buyer protection and then pay with Bill me Later. Your purchase will then be covered under Buyer Protection
Any Michigan fans out there have any tickets they want to sell?
I live just about an hour drive from the dome and have been searching all day! All I have found are scams, so sick of it!
Again, when someone is mysteriously having problems with something (Paypal, Ebay, etc etc etc...) and refer you to do business in another method of their choosing, that should be a giant red flag to you.
