#EATING - Yahoo! Article Highlighting the Recipient on the "Clowney Hit"

Submitted by mgobaran on

Yahoo! has an article about Vincent Smith's (and friends) Hope for Pahokee project. The writing is lacking a lot of information on the actual project and mostly focuses on "the Hit that changed the world."

The name of his project isn't even mentioned in this article!

I guess Yahoo! at least tried to spread the word, right?

Came across as a pretty stupid article to me. As if the hit was so devistating that it caused him to completely reevaluate his life and decide to do a project like this...

Whatever it takes to raise awareness for the project, I guess.

I didn't get that at all from the article.

It was a nice article - no, it wasn't perfect (should have included the name of the charity), but the charity and Smith's character were certainly the focus.  The hit was just the hook that was used to get the casual reader to click on the article, which is a good thing -- I'm sure Vince has no qualms with using the hit if it gets more publicity for Hope for Pahokee.

It was one hit. Granted, it was impressive, but it wasn't even a big game.

I'm not even bothered because I like Michigan. I'm bothered because it's like your little sister's friend who comes over to your house and won't shut up while you're trying to watch TV.

don't consider a high quality bowl game against a top teir SEC team to be a big game?  What does it take to be a big game then?  I think there can be big games without either team being "crowned" with something at the end of it.

That is the new perception of college football.  It cannot be considered a "big game" unless it is being played by two of the top four teams in the country.  The players sure seemed to think it was a big game.

I can't see college football season being very enjoyable with that mind set.  Stop listening to Mike Valenti.  That was a big game (and so was the 2011 Sugar Bowl).

Sorry, dude, but the Outback Bowl? After a 4-loss season? Sure, it was a fun game to watch, but let's not kid ourselves and think it was a "big game".

Oh, and as far as bowl games go, a BCS bowl game is a "big game".

that Florda State v. Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl was a big game.  I do think that Michigan v. Michigan State next week is a big game.  Do you not?  Your criteria is a mess.

Thanks. We are looking to get more space at another site in Pahokee to focus on farming . We are also expanding to Denard's town in Deerfield Beach and then in Michigan. You can read more at our indiegogo which is at teameating.com. There is videos there too.

this quote. "Football wasn't just a way out; it was a way back."

This man needs to teach a class to college athletes about using your oppurtunity for more than just a life of sports. I could see him helping a lot of kids.

I gotts say, the Outback uni's looked pretty sweet.  Change the numbers to blue on yellow instead of yellow on blue so that you can actually read them, and you have a look that could be the permanent road uni.
