I will say, Sam Houston really does have this "preemptive strike" thing down in the defensive backfield, but alas it almost always will be defensive PI if you tackle the receiver a good 5-10 yards from the ball and long before he has a reasonable shot at catching it.

Also, Vernon Adams having some Denard-esque moments there turning a blown play into a long yardage play. Meanwhile, Sam Houston facemasks its way to a 1st and Goal for EWU.

The announcers are almost as conservative as coaches. You do what you do best. Don't let up here and run, run, pass just to milk the clock. That's almost is not entirely as bad as the "prevent" defense.

Adams is one hell of a QB. Granted, this is the first time I have seen him play, but I am surprised he never caught on anywhere for I-A scholarship. You're telling me no one in the northwest could use this guy? Not even idaho?

want to encourage teams to schedule quality opponents.

Later, if Msu loses to Oregon... there's no way I'm voting in a one loss big ten team.

So, in reality, that previous rant was actually about how both Auburn and Alabama should  make the playoff and nothing else?  Yes.

Then why did't you just say that?  Because it would make me look biased since no team in the country has played a game yet.

/not defendingmsu.  Espn is just ridiculous.
