Early Morning Good Times Roll Thread

Submitted by jamiemac on

I really think with UCONN's win tonight that MICH's RPI will rise high enough that the Tournament is easily in reachwait? wut?

Still, MICH played 3 BCS teams and a fourth that won 11 games. And despite really the worst case scenario any of us could envision on D, still went bowling.

And, if I can be frank....I think this year's basketball team is better than last years. And, better than the 2008-09 outfit. Just sayin' Hockey? Frozen Four. Book It! After a Big Chill beatdown, natch.

Merry Christmas. Happy Hannakah. Merry New Year. Let The Goodt Times Roll

We're not where we want to be. But, we're one step closer. Unless its soccer, then we're exactly where we want to be.

Changed thread title. In case there are people who have a hope of seeing the sunrise. Hey, I am having one more, but no guarantees. See ya over morning coffee. Optimism better remain, yo

UCONN going to a bcs game is lol funny..  Ironic that they don't even score a offensive touchdown in a game that sent them to play a BCS game where they will most likely get stomped..  Frazer is pretty bad

Fruity Pebbles

But, cereal, did we think we'd have three double digit scorers in hoops? We do. And our best recruit isnt even one of them. Stu and Zach are, wait for it, # 5and #6 in scoring, and yet today filled the Merritt/Lee role to a T.

Hoops. Get on board now, people.

Also, clear your schedule. January 2012, BCS game. March 2012, Sweet 16.

Heard it here first. BOOK IT!

Alright, here goes. But, I am answering them a little different

1.) I have already said, and will maintain the prediction, that MICH will be at least 1 game better after 10 games in 2011 than in 2010. 8-2, with the division in our own fate. Can we play with BRASKER and OSU? We'll see. But we're closer than CW says, despite the score last week.

2.) Hoops. My Preseason pick was 9-2 before league, 7-11 in league, loss to KU, 1-1 in Big 10 tournament, That is an NIT bid. We can do better. But, we are so young, I think those coin flip bubble games will go against us. Then again. I mean this. Without BS. This is Beilein's best team at MICH so far. And, he's already dragged us into the tourney. But, keep those thoughts on the down low. Sssshhhhh. Lets keep this between us.

3.) Uh, yes, He's already brought in the best back to back classes that MICH has had since the Fab Five 2 Era. With some good recruits coming with future classes.

Watching him last year, I told everyone I could, "Morris is going to be good. I mean real f'ing GOOD!"

He instantly became my favorite player. The front line is going to take some time and I think the conference schedule is going to be pretty rough for this team, but I like next year.

Is Soccer really in the Final Four

That is sooooo killer

Folks may not know that I am an IU grad. Soccer is, well, ahem, our sport, I guess. Anyway, when I was in school it was so long ago that the Big 10 actually having a soccer league seemed far fetched, let alone another school other than IU doing the footprint proud.

I did some time broadcasting IU soccer games in the early 1990s on student radio

Could not be more proud to see a Michigan soccer team kicking ass like this

The five losses this year were all tough to swallow, but when looked at in this light it makes things easier. Looking forward to heading up to AA from Atlanta next week for the Big Chill!

Cheers to a improved team in 2011 and the many great possibilities for Michigan Athletics!

GO BLUE!

A post not about recruiting, harbaugh, richrod, db, or gerg!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Thank you, for being able to create a post that looks at the big picture.  For bringing into light the success that all of Michigan athletics is having right now.  Most people get so tied up into all the controversy surrounding the football program that they forget to look at the big picture.  Its nice to have a thread that makes you step back and take perspective.  Good things are coming. For all the naysayers out there, its up to you to decide whether you want to be a part of it or not.

Lulz go blue.

But this hockey team is soft.  Someone needs to demonstrate the ability to take over a game.  Carl, I'm looking at you.  Louie, feel free.
