Look, we have some problems up front and QB needs to get his confidence back, but we scored 100 points in our first two games. You seem to have completely forgotten those games ever happened. If we can stop committing four turnovers per game, I have a hunch we'll score a little bit more.

Purdue belongs in the GLIAC after this performance.

That was a very lazy route by the UCF receiver

Come on UCF! I hate the SEC!

WVU ahead of OkSU, 24-14. We could be moving up in the polls without playing a game.

hurt? Guess so. Carry on. . .

Hopin' UCF doesn't regret leaving at least that FG on the field due that INT late in the half.

It is almost halftime though, so they could be going to concessions.

Is it just me? Did Danny Etling fall into the container of eye black?
Also, nice fake punt by Purdue to get the first down. The anti-Zook move - DON'T punt when they least expect it.

USC makes adjustments. And evudently UCF assumes USC will make no adjustments.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:38 PM ^
Hmmm, looks to me like Spurrier made a lot of adjustments.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:19 PM ^
The Big Ten needs to sit Purdue down and have a conversation with them. This shit is downright embarrassing.
Can we kick them out of the conference?
Rugers and Maryland are major upgrades over them. Their football program couldn't compete in an FCS conference.
September 28th, 2013 at 3:10 PM ^
This is a team that nearly lost to Indiana St. It's a pretty bad program right now, but I guess every conference needs at least one. I mean, the ACC has UNC, Big 12 apparently has WVU (though today's game is going better than I expected). But yeah, Purdue needs to figure out what they are doing.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:20 PM ^
Glad for the fumble on USC, but no way Spurrier was going to let his QB throw for that. UCF's coaches got RPS'ed pretty badly on that call that they should've known was coming.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:25 PM ^
That's 17 points across the four turnovers committed by Purdue, so there's that. Take away those points, and Purdue is still down by two scores, so there's that too.

I've like your approach of making a team feel better with facts pointing out how them sucking is at least partially self-inflicted, not just getting worked over by a better squad. Makes you feel like, heck, you almost had a chance to make it a respectable loss.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:27 PM ^
NIU is going to have the heads of 2 Big Ten programs on their mantle after this one.
MAC >>>> Big Ten
MACtion!
September 28th, 2013 at 2:30 PM ^
NIU is a good team with a great, experienced QB They could take out Kentucky and Vanderbilt and any of the lower tier of most conferences. Sadly the B1G was the one scheduling them.

How did Purdue hang with Notre Dame? I'm thinking the Irish are in for a whooping tonight against Oklahoma. That 3.5 spread is looking nice.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:42 PM ^
Plus, I think playing Notre Dame is like when you play Michigan, or the Yankees, or any high-end program: every opponent is going to give you their best game.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:47 PM ^
I don't think Rees is that bad. He's not a great fit for a coach who likes to pass 50 times a game, though. ND has good backs but Kelly doesn't like to commit to the ground game.
September 28th, 2013 at 3:10 PM ^
Plus, 20 year-olds tend to just play like crap sometimes.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:42 PM ^
It's the "Little Brother" effect. Regional rival that feels disrespected every year, and that rage can make up for a disparity in talent and ability.
September 28th, 2013 at 3:56 PM ^
Duct tape and paper clips. They hung in tight against Notre Dame last year and took Ohio State to overtime, but every other loss was by at least 16 points. They only managed to get bowl eligibility by squeaking out 3-point wins against bad Iowa and Illinois teams.
I think it may just be that they can put together a maximum of two good games a year against major conference opponents.
September 28th, 2013 at 2:32 PM ^
Gotta wonder why Spurrier just didn't go power run game from the start? UCF currently has no answer.

I really hope they can lay the wood against the 3-1 Falcons. Would make me sleep a whole lot better tonight.
September 28th, 2013 at 3:02 PM ^
Looks like we are leaving the game too now. Lol. Carolina fans. Meltdowns everywhere. I heard at least a dozen people say they are looking forward to BBall.
September 28th, 2013 at 3:25 PM ^
As much grief as Mack Brown gets for underachieving, he must have been a pretty good coach earlier in his career, because he made UNC really good for awhile. They've been crappy basically ever since he left for Texas.
September 28th, 2013 at 3:10 PM ^
September 28th, 2013 at 3:13 PM ^
Yikes - Purdue is losing by the largest margin ever by a B1G school to a MAC school (38 points).
September 28th, 2013 at 3:24 PM ^
In that same vein, ECU is murdering UNC by 18.. and it should be more if ECU wasn't being merciful. Also, West Virginia is beating Ok State. I think it's safe to say that the mid-majors are definitely gaining some strength. There is definitely parity around college football these days.
