Early Game Thread - bring it on

Submitted by Wolverine In Iowa on

I'll be mainly on the Iowa-Illinois game, but I'll try to flip around if the woman allows it.

Go terps go!!!

How can anyone thing OSU's D is even remotely close to UM? Their starting line might be as good or better, but wow, as a whole they're very underwhelming this season so far.

As expected, the Red River Rivalry is already getting a little chippy and it doesn't even need to go there right now. There were one or two shoves after the whistle on that punt.

The Sooners might need to get Samaje Perine more involved in this game - he took a good third of the Texas defense along for the ride on those five yards. After that, the Sooners discover that going ten yards backwards on a reverse is a bad idea and then a sack.

Does OSU escape playing anyone good on the road except Michigan?

They don't play NW, Wisconsin, or Nebraska. They get MSU at home. They get Minnesota at home.

They can coast through the season until they come to Ann Arbor. Unless MSU gets their shit together, OSU won't be seriously threatened until they play us. They'll come to our house expecting to win and woefully unprepared for the brick wall D line they'll be playing against.

Once again I don't expect OSU will lose, but man they sure allow teams to punch them in the mouth right off the bat. Don't feel bad about being shut out by Michigan at home, Terps, you can always go into Columbus and score in the first five minutes of the game.

This could be interesting. They're not taking him out and Jones wasn't hurt.

It looks like they're going Barrett in the redzone and Jones any other time.
