EA NCAA Football 13 uniform update patch - Thoughts?

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Since I'm at work, I have yet to download the new uniform patch for the NCAA Football game EA has released today for PS3 (Xbox got it sometime awhile ago).

Any thoughts on them or comments? Are Michigan's jerseys updated to include the B1G patch and the TechFit jerseys? Cowboy Classic uniforms? Have the B1G logos been added to the field?

I'm kind of detail nazi when it comes to this game. I update the equipment of each Michigan player the Monday after games and change ratings to mirror their performance so far.

There was one that you had to use Microsoft points for and that included the cowboys classic jersey.  There was another one that had a wide variety of jerseys from different teams and was free to download.  Not sure how PS works though.

You have to be kidding me. Points are required to download a freaking uniform? F that. I  saw above that the jersey was part of the download and was excited, but then I saw your post that points are required. That is such BS. I will not be using points for that.

...it's not the amount of points that is the issue, rather the principal. For something so simple, it should be free. I, too, have had points sitting in my account for a long time, but I'm still not going to use them for a uniform. I have COD Black Ops 2, Assassin's Creed 3, and Halo 4 coming this autumn, so I'm sure I will need those points for some downloadable content on any of those games.

Today.  I'm excited.  This is super off-topic.

Um, so yeah, it was 80 points for the Cowboy Classic uni.  I paid, and I haven't used it at all.  In fact, I haven't used any of the uniforms except once in a while I'll put the helmet numbers on.  Classic uniform all the way.

Apparently EA said on their facebook page that there is a free patch where it will update all the new uniforms they didn't get to do due to the game being in finalizing stages when they were released (ex: Texas A&M, minnesota, northwestern etc.).

I don't believe in changing player ratings. Even when it is obvious that a player is rated wrong I won't change it, becuase to make the game unbalanced, I would have to go through every team and change every player to keep things in check.

My Michigan teams were all 99's but not all 7 footers.  Sure I added 4-5 inches for certain players and a few lbs but their attributes were outstanding.  It was the MSU team that I also coached that had the 5'5" 160 lb guys running around everywhere with attributes set at 40 (yes I realize I spent more time changing the players than playing the game but it was soooo fun!).  I would give MSU one good player, BJ Cummings.  He was a 99 in every category while being the exact opposite of all his teammates (7'-0" and 415lbs) and I would make sure he was the starting HB and MLB along with playing deep on the kick return and punt returns, kicking, punting, and on the kickoff team.  Dude would rack up the statistics since no one on his team could run or tackle.  Surprising he did decently on offense since he had a line that couldn't block.  Eventually I would get overthrown at MSU and had to go somewhere where only a 1 star coach could go...which was typically MTSU (the crappy local team to me now) and I'd show MSU how I could win, they'd hire me back a few years later and then I'd suddenly forget how to win again.  I'd blame it entirely on MSU.  Good times, good times.

Cowboy Classic uniforms and Notre Dame (Navy Game) jersey pack cost 80 points. The other update (a lot of teams) was free.

AKA, Northwestern started off with their jerseys from last year and now have the updated ones made by UnderArmor.
