DVR Reminder: BTN Journey
Just heads up but on Monday June 17th 8pm BTN Journey will show a NBA Draft premeire featuring both Burke and Hardaway Jr gearing up for the draft. Last time we can soak up those two in Michigan jerseys. Hopefully someone can feature it on mgovideo? Looking foward to this episode and the NBA Draft in couple weeks.
Those two were so important in resurecting the UM basketball program, godspeed to them both. May their successes multiply.
Burke was our basketball version of Denard. He bridged mediocre teams to what we have now. For me he ranks up there with Glenn Rice and Chris Webber for my favorite UM players. Great season and brought me back to watching Michigan basketball much more often (shout out to BTN as well).
No disrespect to Denard, but I think you are shortchanging what Burke accomplished (which I never would have imagined saying 2 years ago). Burke's legacy at Michigan is superior. Burke won the college basketball equivalent of the Heisman and led Michigan to the National Championship game. He is going to be a top 10 pick in the NBA Draft. I think Burke is more like the basketball version of Desmond Howard. His shot against Kansas will live forever in Ann Arbor like Howard's Heisman pose.
