DVR Notice: replay of game at 11am on FS1

Submitted by IndyBlue90 on

If you work nights like me, or just want to set your DVR, here is your chance to watch the game again. I'm going to unleash my inner masochist, because I'm interested in looking closer at the lines, and maybe Stribling and the LBs.

I'm a Butler University alum and fan, and their move to the Big East means that most of their games are on either FS1 or FS2. I think the networks are garbage. Their announcers regularly don't know what's going on or who players are. The graphics always look crappy to me, and their cuts to and from commercial are like some kind of "SUNDAY! SUNDAY SUNDAY! MONSTER CAR RALLY" style

That was really the only thing I hated.  I thought Joel Klatt did okay.  His description of what went wrong on the first and third Rudock interception was spot on and something that I can see color commentators miss.  Though he would've received bonus points for mentioning how wide open Isaac was on that third INT.

Plus the camera angle and his breakdown of a run where Smith could've bounced outside for a big gainer was excellent.  It was something you could obviously see Harbaugh pointing out in film study.  I would take Klatt on B1G or ESPN over most guys.

if you can't handle Gus Johnson on the playcall then you should just watch every single game on mute because you just plain hate broadcasters.  What do you think that Keith Jackson was too over the top?  Brent Musburger's voice is just annoying and Al Michaels and his miracle believing ruined a perfectly good US Hockey victory.  While I'll concede the point that most ESPN duos suck, FS1 pulled out the stops and got us Gus Freaking Johnson.  Don't blame them because you would rather listen to silence whlie you sit alone in your basement grumbling about running back vison.  It's not like they dusted off Joe Buck, now THAT would be horrible.  I thought they were a massive upgrade.  Thank God this wasn't on ESPN or it probably would have been a Beth Mowins game.

Gus was ok, it was the rest of the crew that was beyond awful...and your accusations of who I am and what I like are way off base and just rude. Why so sensitive?

FWIW, I love great broadcasters like Keith Jackson, Ernie Harwell, Vin Scully, etc. What I don't need is Colin Cowherd, Matt Leinart and Dave Wannstedt's pathetic attempt at football analysis.

Was anyone else thinking darboh could have laid out and shown a little more effort to catch that deep ball from rudock. I can't remember where it happened.

He had already slowed down on the pass in the first quarter.  Maybe if we still going full speed, he could've caught it.

But the one in the third quarter looked like it fell right in front of him.  Maybe he couldn't locate the ball.  Too bad he didn't catch it because Jake took the cheap shot the next play I believe.

I think it is fun to see what went right and what went wrong. Especially when you take the emotional first watch out of it. For instance, the more I watch this, the more I am encouraged by the WRs and actually the OL did a much better job than I thought. I also have come to the conclusion that James Ross needs to be on the field 100% of the time against spread teams. You also notice little personnel things, like did you know that Michigan played a decent handful of snaps with four safeties on the field? They trotted Delano Hill in as a OLB, Peppers in the slot, then Dymonte Thomas and Jarrod Wilson deep.

In summary, there are lots of interesting/cool things that happen during a football game, and you can't possibly watch all of them live.

The last play of the first quarter... My God Smith is awful.   He cuts outside on that play and he can walk into the endzone.  Instead, he makes the O-Line look worse than they really are.   This was a theme all night.

That play was blocked plenty good.

I'd never watch a full loss, just can't do it.

I'll defintiely look/read the UFR, though. I can analyze plays...but that's about all I can give for a round 2.
