Duke. Would be fitting for them to have a chance to do what the Fab5 couldn't.
Agreed, I want Duke. That way, the whole country minus OSU, MSU and IU will be rooting for us.
This plus a billion, it would be like the tigers winning the world series by beating the Yankees, awesome!
I'm not sure IU would root against us. Crean, maybe, but not their fans.
Wants Louisville.
And we might be looking at the perfect Easter.
I feel like Duke is the easier matchup, so I've got to pull for them. Also, a FF with no #1 seeds would be cool.
Heart wants Duke. Very similar teams though.
Who do you all want - Duke or Louisville?
Hate Duke forever and ever, but how nice would it be to play them in the finals?
Louisville is better, I think, but a style that might fit us a little better, right?
Duke with Kelly has been amazing.
(yes, I know we have to beat Syracuse first).
Duke, they are the weaker team.
How about Wichita State instead? I know this is unlikely, but with how crazy this tourney has been anything can happen.
There is abad injury. CBS won't even show it on tv.
amazing homecourt advantage for Louisville. These fans are crazy.
...
and what the hell just happened? I don't want to see this...
Same injury as fitz.
If Duke wins, I win $1300 in my pool for a $20 entry. Go Duke!
Classless. Hope they lose just for that.
My guess is that the original post was made without knowledge of this injury. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here.
Of course it was.
Classless for being in a pool? Um, ok
Actually they just showed it and his leg is dangling on by a thread. Never want to see that in sports and puts things in perspective.
were on the floor, I thought there was a big collision and then they showed the replay. Classy of CBS not to show it again.
Wow. That is gruesome. Thoughts go out to that poor kid.
I'm gonna puke. Hope for the best...
That hurt just watching that.
Have not flinched at a tv injury like that since Fitz, that looked exactly like it.
Feel awful for that kid - that was brutal looking
WOW. Snapped his tibia and fibula right in half. That is just gruesome. Hope the kid recovers.
That is terrible
That is terrible
But not that. Never that. How horrible.
That wa crazy. The team couldn't even stand / watch / anything. Insane. Loved that they all then came over and realized that they needed to give to him instead of being stuck in their own mind.
Wow.
That poor kid! Holy crap.
Wow. Such a gross break. Bad luck for Louisville.
WHat happened? I just saw 3 UL players on the ground?
Worst injury I've ever seen live. Includes Lattimore and Mcgahee. Hope he'll be ok.
they looked over and all dropped after seeing his leg broken in half. Watch the bench reaction next replay as well.
Agreed. I have never seen an injury that bad.
I take a broken leg (Fitz, Ware) over a blown out knee (Lattimore, McGahee) any day of the week.
I want Duke.
That looked like a compound fracture, holy shit that was awful to look at.
That was awful! I had to look away and I'm not even there
Even the Duke players looked shocked and sickened.
gruesome injury I've ever seen in any game, looked even worse than the one to Fitz or that famous one to Joe Theismann decades ago for the Redskins...
I agree worse looking than the Lattimore or McGahee breaks. Really hope this kid can make a complete recovery.
I hope he can walk again. My God, that was unbelievably gruesome. I wish I hadn't seen it.
He will walk tomorrow after they rod it
I hope so, but there's always a risk with really nasty dislocations or breaks that you lose blood flow to an area long enough to require amutation. I have a friend who was told he was lucky he didn't lose his foot after a bad ankle dislocation.
There is zero chance he loses his leg unless someone fucks up the operation or misses a compartment syndrome. He had a mid-shaft low-energy (open?) tibia and fibula fracture. There was no dislocation. Really a straight forward orthopaedic case. If there are any vascular injuries treatment will be timely enough so there are no permanent deficits.
our whole living room just quieted down. Bum-mer...
Worst leg injury I have ever seen
