Lol, so much for my plans tonight.  I'm gonne be on this blog every fifteen minutes for the rest of the night waiting for more news.

I was under the impression ND only had room for 1 dlineman this year. With the possible exception of them accepting  guy like Jones. With Day committing there yesterday they may no longer want Schutt, which could make him be revising his entire plan. Maybe Day committing to ND was better for us than we thought, because personally, Schutt and Pipkins are the top two DT's on by board. With O'Brien being the number 1 3-Tech left on my board. So personally I see us taking 2 of these 3 guys with a very outside shot at Shittu. But I think the coaching staff is going to end up with 2 "DT's".

Who is this "Hopkins" you speak of?

Possible that there's some issue the coaches don't like (academic/disciplinary) but haven't heard anything of that sort with Schutt.

Best guess is that if there aren't any silents, they're really optimistic about who we are after...

Me reading way too far into things and being overly optimistic is that the news of Schutt visiting caused another recruit to commit.  too far? too optimistic?

According to Wiltfong, Schutt told him that the coaches said no because they added another DT. Which sounds like a commitment from Pipkins IMO

That makes it sound like they're serious about just 1 DT, which is pretty disappointing

Even if they were serious about only taking one DT, I would think things would change for a five star, but maybe (probably) there are other factors playing into this.

Ondre Pipkins is a five star, and better than Schutt.

That said, I really hope we take 2 DTs!
