I don't get why people make such a big deal about a title. He has a very different skillset than almost every other player listed at QB. I mean, what defines a QB? If I call LaMichael James a QB, does that make him one? Is it passing that defines a QB? Is it decision making? Is it taking snaps? He's not the best passer. He's not the best decision maker. Again, if a RB takes all of the snaps and runs every down with 10 blockers, does that make him a QB? I would think not.

I don't know how every defines QB and I don't know what criteria they look at for best QB, but I'm guessing he almost assuredly doesn't meet it. If anything it puts Denard into a category of his own that noone else in the conference can touch.

While I fully understand that I'm being a homer when I say this.   I think that if michigan was undefeated and Auburn was sitting at 7-5 that the entire situation would be flipped around and that Denard would be the run away winner.

Now, I do understand that Cam had a ton to do with Auburn going 12-0, and that Michigan's offense was still very good when Tate came in while Denard was hurt (frequently).    However, neither of those matter to the point I'm actually trying to make.

To me, in all my homerism, when I look at both players... Cam is a beast and an insanely amazing player.   I think Denard is better and is getting pushed to the side simply because of the teams record.   At a minimum he should have been invited out to NY.

(again, I get I'm a homer.  But I think it's debateable at a minimum)

Pryor came and flat out said he would be as good as or better than Denard and Cam Newton in running spreads. You have the leading all time QB rusher and the second all time 20/20 QB and Pryor just mouthing off like a sore loser.

He picked OSU's offense over any other, and it isn't paying dividens. He isn't becoming the NFL QB he wanted to be and is crying like a little bitch, nothing more.

Guy: "Okay, Terrelle, see that kinda short kid over there across the sideline?"

TP: "Me."

Guy: "No, Terrelle, listen -- that kid with the dreads, see?  He's what we call HUMBLE.  Can you say 'humble, Terrelle?'"

TP: "Me."

Guy: "(sigh) Okay, try this again.  HUMMMMM......BLLLLLLLE."

TP: "(clears throat) Mmmmmmmmmm......Eeeeeeeeeeeeee. Heisman."

Congrats to D Rob. Is there a more deserving guy? He is a very humble kid who always put his teammates and coaches first. Add that to his light up the room smile and you have a kid who every coach dreams of having.

Speaking of awards, good luck to David Molk who is a finalist for the Rimington award. I believe the Collge Awards Show starts at 7 tonight.

Let's not make this about Pryor.  There are other threads and other reasons to mock Pryor and he certainly gives us more than enough ammo.  But here I'd definitely rather focus on how great a year Denard had and how much he deserves the recognition.  Also thrilled to see Molk and Martin get the recognition.  If Martin had been healthy all season, he would have had a real shot to be first team.  He was absolutely dominant when healthy.
