What will you mgoboarders be drinking during the game?
I like my drink quality to be representative of the quality of Michigan's opponent.
That being said I'll be drinking Mad Dog and Schlitz, how 'bout you?
Take your Schlitz 40oz, drink it down to the beginning of the label and fill the rest with Orange Juice. Repeat as necessary.

As is standard practice in the driveway I call home on Saturday mornings in the fall, there will be a keg of guiness light (aka keystone because it's the cheapest that campus corner offers)
HOW we drink it is a different matter entirely. This weekend it may just be sitting on the curb doing nothing, for a game of greater magnitude 60 yr old fathers doing funnels and shotgunning PBR isn't at all out of the question.
there's a cocktail named The Hornet.
Since its a 9AM kickoff out here, I'll probably just have coffee.

it's my sister's birthday, and way back when I agreed to go wine tasting with her in Sonoma not knowing that she would want us to start doing it at 10am pacific time.
So I'll be drinking some of the finest wines in the country and missing the game entirely, which is a fail on both counts if we're trying to follow the original poster's suggestions.
stole Tivo from Mt Olympus. So that mortals could sip Chardonney and Caberet, safe in the knowlege that the game was waiting for them at home.

If you live in Sonoma--there is NO fail. Holy geebus I'd never watch another sporting even for the rest of my life if I could afford to live in the North Bay.
That being said, it is what it is.
I'm thinking that if you lived in the North Bay, you'd be a die-hard Raiders fan, all decked-out in the silver and black, with a patch over one eye.

As always. The champagne of beers.
And its $12.00 for a case in longneck bottles.
YNWA!
Probably ease my way out of the inevitable hangover from tonight by drinking a few bloody marys (sp?)and see where the football gods take me from there.

I drink Bloody Marys all the time. A few years back on a trip to Canada, I was introduced to Bloody Caesars. Same drink, but with clamato juice instead of tomato juice (or tomato juice with added clam juice). The glass is rimmed with celery salt.
It's a nice change-up from the Bloody Mary. Also just as effective for hang-overs when you need some of the hair of that dog.
I don't like drinking to the level of my opponents. Mostly because I hate shitty beer.
That being said, tomorrow's drink of choice will likely be Sam Adams Octoberfest.
I'm a Stella Artois man, myself, or even Bells Oberon. I introduced my father-in-law and mother-in-law to Oberon last weekend. New converts.
so I do believe hot apple cider and Capt. Morgan. If I find some 100 proof CM that's where I'm headed, but the idea of drinking down to the quality of the game is also an option for those that like to 'level' the playing field.

Pretty plain here but I love starting off with some Beefeater Gin and Tonic and then just regular ol' Miller Lite...
on the rocks
In this world there are opinions that exist and then there is truth. My opinions happen to be true.
I'm saving that for the bonfire Saturday night at my girlfriend's sister's house in the Napoleon, MI countryside.

so I will be drinking Pepsi. If I am supposed to drink according to opponent, maybe I'll make it Meijer brand cola.
I imagine I'll be freezing before, during, and after the game, I hear the hot chocolate calling my name already.

Don't let the dwarf fool you. It's a pretty good Belgian beer.

Is La Chouffe good? I'm a big fan of Belgians, but have yet to get in on La Chouffe. What's comparable?
I've enjoyed La Chouffe and Chouffe, both of which are a pale ales. La Chouffe is spiced (coriander), but not overpowering. Low alcohol taste with a high alcohol content (~8%). It's carbonated, as are a lot of the Belgians that I've seen. I'm not great at comparisons, but I think it's comparable to Duvel.
It's basically a very drinkable beer, ime, without any flavors that will bowl you over. Not that that's a bad thing, but I like to just sit back and enjoy a beer while watching the game without thinking too much about it. I'm looking to try McChouffe, which is a darker ale, but I haven't been able to find it yet.

It is the drink of choice for Tron, the richest man in the world. I only emulate the best, even when The Blue take on a crappy opponent.
It is spelled HOKEAMANIA. Our coach is an ass-kicking American citizen, not one of the Beatles, for Christ's sake!
some Guinness. Might save the Guiness for a few car bombs though, so if I go the car bomb route I'll probably sip on some dos equis in preparation for my trip to Mexico in a couple weeks.
Unless I finish them all tonight, which probably won't happen, I'll be drinking Grolsch and vodka.

For native Germans and others who care, I know it's the wrong glassware... but I haven't gotten around to looking for a Michigan Maßkrug yet. :)
has been the standard for in-stadium flaskage this season. Thank you, Costco
Has to be the Snake Bite, (there are a million shooters called a "Snake Bite" - ours was specific).
Waaaaay back in 1987 (or so) UM played Long Beach State, (or some other sacrificial lamb). Some friends and I carried bota bags filled with a wicked concoction of Jack Daniel's and Rose's Lime Juice (mixed 50/50). Each time UM scored, we'd tip back for 7 seconds.
By half-time, the score was 35-0, UM. The bags were half-empty, and we'd forgotten we were at the game.
Good times.
If we win? Cheap beer.
If we lose? Antifreeze.
