USciences is mainly a pharmacy school. It used to be called Philadelphia College of Pharmacy but they change their name like every 5 years. For a while they were known as USP but for some reason the school decided it wanted its nickname to be USciences.
I don't know how many of the players are pre-pharmacy or current PharmD candidates, but it's a tough program with a lot of weeding out so that's just impressive. Maybe they're easy on the athletes but I don't think so.

It's their Google tag line. Do they think with a name like "University of the Sciences" people will think they are joking? "No, really...we focus on science. We're a science college."
Kind of a lame mascot though -- Devils, which is pretty generic. Could have gone with "Mad Scientists" or "Einsteins" or "Protons" or anything else science-related. The possibilites are endless.

In the fall of 2007, the same year as that one thing that happened at the Big House, MSU lost at home to GVSU in a basketball exhibition game.
