Drake Harris tweet

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

saw some people wondering if Drake Harris is the other guy who is going to take a medical hardship and it appears it won't be him. i saw this tweet from his account a few days ago.

@michganfan I feel great, ran a 4.44 today in our testing and thanks I appreciate it!

Hopefully he added some bulk in the weight room and still has that speed. Also, hopefully he has a plan to manage his hamstrings now too so they're not a continuing issue.

I'll wait until he does it against good competition.. Playing in gr the teams are garbage. Still don't think this kid will finish his career here. I'll be shocked if he plays injury free ever

If Drake Harris is finally healthy then that is a very good thing for UM. Based off of his skillset, WR's on the team, and numbers when healthy, Harris could make an impact right away.

I do think that he is the other player that Pipkins is referring to in that article. I think they approached him for a medical (this has been mentioned by multiple outlets) and he told them he thinks he can get his health sorted out. They're allowing him the chance to be healthy by July 1st. He could be a difference maker for us this fall if he's healthy and can STAY healthy.

It's a hammy, that thing could pop any second. Those things never seem to heal quite right. Here's hoping all the time off has gotten him 100% though.  My own experience with hammys is comical:  I once severely pulled both hammys on consecutive snaps rushing the QB in a corporate league flag football game.  Pulled up lame when my right hammy popped, but had to stay in because we had no subs. I stayed in the game as a hobbled, super slow pash rusher just attempting to bat the ball down at the line (I'm 6'4). Literally the next snap my left one goes. So embarrassing..could barely walk away from the game.

I pulled both of mine right after college and would occassionally pull them for years.  Took like 10 years before I felt like they were solid.  I'm sure UofM's medical staff can get Drake right faster than that, but I think it is one of those things that just needs time.

It's all ESPN trying to hurt Harbaugh's image. The man is giving nightmares to the SEC and we know how much ESPN kidding their ass. It will not effect anything. Just bad publicity, I'll give it 12 hours before we get another commit. Hello Mr. Bush

Stop with the conspiracy theories.

ESPN has been giving Michigan tons of publicity this off-season. I suspect that they probably have an SEC bias in large part due to them being the dominant conference in the 21st century (thus far), but a former 5* recruit saying he is being pressure into a medical by the most talked about coach in the country is big news.

Whether Harbaugh is doing Pipkins wrong or not, it's frontpage news on a day when the only other things going on are NBA Draft reviews, NFL Training Camp Previews, and Misc Baseball games.

it's not too much but I notice it big-time on their scroll whenever a recruit verbals or player transfers. Watch when it says "recruit" or it's a UM player transferring in an "NCAAF/B". They always downplay it or add unnecessary wording to transfer news. With Battle, half the scroll about it was emphasizing how little time he'd been committed to UM. When Countess left they used a bunch of unnecessary stuff about how many had left since Harbaugh was hired, his accolades, etc. They made it sound like a bad breakup. I don't see all the extra B.S. with other school's circumstances unless it's truly scandalous.

best running back at all points when (1) he was on the field and (2) his ACLs were cooperating.

I have absolutely loved to watch this guy tote the rock--his acceleration and decisiveness turned an otherwise stagnant running game into a tremendous strength.  I think the Ohio State game would have gone differently had his ACL hung in there for all 4 quarters.

I confess I, too, feared that Pipkins was speaking of Drake Johnson.

Bring it, Drake!

Drake is all 170lbs.  I don't see him contributing much.  He's a bust and he needs to be gone too.  He can't stay healthy and this is big time football, we've been honorable and what's it got us?  Behind the times and our butts kicked.  We neet  to get aboard with some of these decisions or get use to being a bad team with a high moral compass.

"needs to be gone too"?? What a terrible thing to say about a talented young man who done nothing but work hard, overcome injuries and stay academically eligible at our fine institution. I would tell you to "Go fuck yourself" but that's not proper etiquette for this board. So have a nice day.
