Drake Harris reportedly injured hamstring at scrimmage

Submitted by Leaders And Best on

Caught a little bit of flack for my post earlier today about a bad week for Michigan WRs, but this stuff keeps happening. Hopefully nothing serious and maybe Hecklinski can sacrifice a chicken to ward off this AIRBHG-like spirit.

From Scout's Allen Trieu:

Allen Trieu @AllenTrieu 35m

Hearing Drake Harris injured his hamstring at a scrimmage tonight. Will post more details when I can get them

EDIT: From Tommy Doles' dad and GR TV sportscaster:

Jack Doles @jackdoles 1h

Drake Harris injured a hamstring tonight. Eagles coach Don Fellows says he will be out for opener vs S. Christian. #news8

To ward off idiots like you and the OP.

Did you even read what the OP wrote? My fing cat has more substance in his liter box.

This board blows ass most days. Post stuff that's interesting and make a salient point. 9/10 posts are of this variety that creates haters, admittedly like myself, coming unglued on the dark underbelly of this blog.

Brian should do something, but he won't. C'est la vie.

Here's a thought stop talking about the AIRBHG. Usually gods manifest themselves and get stronger the more they are allowed to bubble to the surface in the collective psyche. So zip it.

I don't know why everyone is give crap to the OP for posting this.  What he's saying is just the facts.  Being an alum of Drake's HS myself, I can verify this is true from talking to people at the scrimmage, He injured his hammy and he'll be be missing some games this season.  I just hope he can play some games this seaosn for GRC.

Not to thread jack, but East Lake (Cole, Campbell) is on TV here in central Florida right now. Playing Manatee and currently down 7-14. Just turned it on, but excited to see how they look.

No problem. This game is the Artavis Scott show so far (even though they are losing 7-17 to Manatee, which seems to be a much better team). He is the best player on the field, by far. Campbell dropped a sure TD in the 1st half according to the announcers and fumbled to start the 3rd quarter. He plays both ways and is obviously very athletic, though maybe still quite a bit of polish. Oh, and he seems to be easily as tall as Mason Cole, who looks much heavier than I thought.

Edit: Artavis Scott talks A LOT. I mean all the time. Very, um...  confident young man.

This just in, due to Harris' injury, the staff will pull his scholarship and he will then commit to MSU. We all need to panic since we passed on other recruits. He may not play a down of collegiate football for 18 months, but this dramatic news is going to lead our 2014 class having massive decomitments, and potentially the firing of the staff. The future of Michigan football is in doubt.

Not sure where you are getting 18 months? Thought Harris intended to EE so he will playing Michigan ball in 8 months.

Now, onto more pressing matters, where are the updates on East Lake?!

5 TDs through 3Q.

55s

Unofficially I have Harris () for 164 yards on 21 carries and 4 rushing TDs & a 60-yard kickoff return for a TD after 3Q.

EDIT: Make that 6 TDs now.

44s

Harris with SIXTH TD score of the day. This kid is an absolute STUD. Wow! MS 41, Rock 13 with 11:06 left in 4Q.

Sorry, but some family stuff came up. Nothing serious, but I'm missing the rest of the game (but I am recording). All I can say after watching Campbell is that he needs to add strength and work on ball security, though if you read MGoBlog you already know that.

The flack for your original M wr post was about post title not content.  This is better (not in message but in title).

---if anymore WRs related to U of M get injured we will be looking at you...

Hope he's better by next year. Maybe Hoke should hold a medical redshirt for him....or just pull the offer all together.

Saban would be proud.
