Steve put in his Crystal Ball for Donald Stewart to Stanford today, who some were projecting to have a spot in the class.

Not sure what the implications of this are for the rest of the class...maybe ensures that Nate Johnson will be a part of it?

I feel like we have enough "slot" types in this class like Evans and Crawford and not one definite outside threat. Plus Stewart is strictly WR while guys like Mitchell may switch to defense. Plus the Paramus pipline keeps going strong.

Agree LSA I've wanted Michigan to be relevant this time of year since I started following this stuff. I'm more than willing to accept the good with the bad. I also accept that at the end of the day we're going to kill it in the recruiting trail or that our guys will be developed like never before. Win win for all and added entertainment as the cherry on top.

With Fuller, Hill, Asiasi, Boss, Gary, Nordin all possibly coming here that leaves little space for players like Stewart or Pie coming here when we already have a million wide receivers in this class.

You still need a big WR like Stewart who can keep possession like Darboh does for us.

We've got 2-3 guys in this class who can play the slot or provide speed on the outside.

Idk hard to say. Amir Mitchell is a definite outside receiver, IMO Eubanks will be an outside receiver as well (unless he gains 20-30 pounds). So that leaves us with (for now) Johnson/ MCDOOM/ Crawford to work the slot. And Crawford could probably do both. I may be missing name.

Would've been nice to get Stewart. My gut tells me the staff will take him. Gives you some position flexibility.

I think it's clear that he was told we don't have room.

I actually feel kind of bad for him because while Stanford was his #2, he didn't LOVE his visit and all of his friends are headed to Michigan and he did LOVE his Michigan visit.

I was wondering what was going to happen, but that's #Crootin I suppose.
