Don Brown officially official (also on the front page..........oops)
from the office of officiality.
University of Michigan J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach Jim Harbaugh announced Monday (Dec. 21) the hiring of Don Brown as defensive coordinator. Brown will start his appointment with the program after the conclusion of the bowl season.
"We are very pleased and happy to announce that our top candidate and number one choice, Don Brown has accepted our offer to become defensive coordinator," said Harbaugh. "After a very thorough search and talking with those I respect the most in this game, including Jack Harbaugh, John Harbaugh, Bill Belichick, Bob Sutton, Vic Fangio and others, it led me to Don Brown. Everything he has touched has turned to gold. Just look at his track record as a head coach, defensive coordinator and even as a baseball coach. We are beyond excited to welcome this high character, high achieving individual to our program and university. Teaching and player development are synonymous with coaching and Don Brown epitomizes those qualities."

To be fair, a lot of people go to the board first, even to the point of using it almost exclusively, hence most of the duplicate content from time to time. I would say that sometimes it is a bit much, but I tend to leave the ultimate fate of most "Hello" type posts to the author of the front page content.

I tend to watch the board moreso than the front page. Generally, there's more going on during the day on the board

posts about the same content all the time - without issue or "IBD" nonsense. Usually the Board post has the most comments (and debate) and the Front Page comments are more on the polite side.

Partridge's is not. Hmmm. Maybe because Partirdge's LB coaching appointment is really only temporary?

Including Don Brown, there were only 4 out of the 10 coaches tasked to coaching defense at Boston College. And one of the four had to coach Special Teams as well!
Don Brown - DC/LB
Ben Albert - DL
Kevin Lempa - DB
Coleman Hutzler - ST/LB
BC had 6 coaches full time on offense (I am including Addazio in this number because offense is his background).
Another interesting nugget: Coleman Hutzler got his start in coaching with Jim Harbaugh as a graduate assistant at University of San Diego and then followed him to Stanford.

Absolutely hilarious that all the paysites got played. It was going to be Anderson, then Leavitt, and don't forget Pruitt. They all got scooped by some dude named "xcheck" on the edge of the internet, who called this hire on Friday.

That would be amazing since Tom is 70 and Don is 60.

Just glad Coach Harbaugh got his man. Looking forward to Coach Brown imposing some controlled chaos with our defense on our rivals.

the run option. OSU has scored over 40 points over the past three games against us. Indiana is beginning to run up the numbers against us as well. JH teams have had problems with this type of offense particularly with Oregon.
I am not sure what Brown's experience is against run option teams.
