No, he does not. Denard is a QB.

What.
Seriously, what.

Coach Kelly seems to think he is a RBI don't get it. Do I need to change the battery on my sarcasm detector?

Nope, Kelly actually mentioned in a press conference at some point that Robinson seemed to be a running back.

Didn't he say somthing along the lines that these are the best rb's he has seen in a while? Our backs need to improve a lot!!!!!

Haha imagine the Fred Jackson hyperboles if he was Denard's position coach. But seriously, no, Rod Smith is Denard's position coach, with Rich Rod heavily mentoring Denard also.

"He's like Michael Vick, but fast."

"He's like Usain Bolt, except with a cannon for an arm."

He's like Usain Bolt if Usain ran with a parachute behind him and had Henne's robot arm.

"He's like Mike Vick.... with less dog killing and less herpes."

Superlative Supernova in 3... 2... 1...

"He's like Tom Brady, but more accurate - and with the feet of Barry Sanders."

If the offense is running multiple designed rushes for him, I can't imagine Jackson isn't coaching him in some capacity. It would be stupid for him not to.
September 15th, 2010 at 11:57 AM ^
Had their quarterback coach complimenting Denard on doing all his work within the constraints of the overall offense. He's a quarterback, no matter what Brian Kelly tries to say.

Denard is great, and Jackson says all of the players that he coaches are great, so there certainly is that possibility.
September 15th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
fred jackson is the team expert on runningback techniques, which denard has to employ constantly. there's no question he works with denard to some extent. rod smith doesn't coach denard on punting, either.
September 15th, 2010 at 4:37 PM ^
Wow. Denard is a QB. The answer is no.
September 16th, 2010 at 2:03 AM ^
Well why wouldn't he? The guy has to hit the right running lanes and make the correct moves when making it to the second level of defense.
