Do we have to field a defense?

Might as well not even have players on the field, that way our offense gets the ball back faster!

sigh...

I don't know what to say.  Who would have tought Penn St.s O would be out playing, out coaching our O.  Since we have ZERO concept of D ... that is the end of the story.  I don't know if I can take another year of this.  Get Tate in there.

Our offense has to lead our defense. We knew that all along. What has the point production been this game and the previous two in the first two quarters?

We should be chewing up yards on this defense.

Yes, it is. What the heck has happened to the OFFENSE? One side of ball they've been stockpiling talent and they can manage 10 points at the half against a horse bleep D.

It can't be "We're killing ourselves!" anymore. This is sad panda stuff. First series of the game, two weeks to prepare and they run Vincent Smith on Iso. They needed to set things on fire on the first series and 3 and out. RR? Done.

If we don't mount a comeback, this will be a very interesting week on this board.  During a game is a hard time to judge because everyone is so emotional, but it sure seems like the tolerance level will be a heck of a lot lower after tonight.

Very demoralizing night so far.

I have to say I like where the offense could be someday.  If we go to Harbaugh it becomes a different offense and team, which is great in its own way, but I will miss what this team could be.  The defense is horrible no doubt, but haven't all of you been excited by this offense.   I can see what this team can become and it is interesting.  I'm just really disappointed that the defense couldn't become what we are accustomed too.

This was a game I really thought we could win and I'm disappointed to see that won't happen. Down 18 on the road, we have no chance.  But offensively there is definitely some talent, and I believe that the next coach (which unless he goes to the pros is going to be Harbaugh) is not going to have a bare cupboard.  So at least we have that going for us.

We need to give Jeff Casteel a call, and offer him whatever he wants.  Make him the highest-paid assistant in the country.  I can't take another year of GERG.
